Top 10 Downsides to Owning a Sexbot Feb 9, 2010
image1. Foreplay is immediately ruined when you're asked to remember your "mother's maiden name."

2. Pillow talk is suddenly interrupted by unwanted pop-ups for Classmates.com.

3. Your blender and microwave would start to get jealous and eventually, self-conscious.

4. This time, "defragging" your girlfriend isn't as exciting as it sounds.

5. Not only does she constantly ask you "What are you thinking?" after sex, but your response has to be 140 characters or less.

6. The hybrid models might be better for the environment, but are twice as creepy since they don't make any noise.

7. Making a sex tape means the camera can get jealous.

8. You still need a GPS to find her G-spot.

9. "Not tonight I have a headache" is replaced with "Can't find a usable main.tcl in the following directories: C:/CYGWIN/TOOLS/share?gdbtcl, C:/gywin/tools/gbtcl, C:/cygwin/tools/gbtcl/admin.doc, no such variable, can't read "errMsg", no such variable while executing "tk_messageBox -title Error message, could not find the widget libraries, "got nameofexec: [info nameofexecutable], error(s) were \n$errMsg" -icon e.., invoked from within, "if [{find_iwdigets_library]} {tk_messageBox-title Error -message, could not find the widgets libarires. God nameofexec: [info nameofexecutable.. (file "C:/cygwin/tools/share/gbtcl/main.tcl" line 53) invoked from within, "source C:/cygwin/tool/share/gbtcl/main.tcl" ["uplevel body line1} invoked from within, uplevel\#0 [list source $file]"

10. If it's under 17 years old, it'll be hacked and fondled by hobbit.

Jeff Probst: Is his torch ready to be snuffed? Feb 9, 2010
imageJeff will be back on the show past the season’s 20th edition, Heroes vs. Villains (which kicks off Thursday night at 8pm).

But, like any good Survivor story, this one has a twist. When Probst renewed his contract in the past (after seasons 12 and 16), it was for four cycles over two years. His latest renewal, however, covers only seasons 21 and 22 and will expire in 2011.

Will he stay on after that? Do you think Survivor will survive his eviction?

Reader's Blog #1: Ever read Ray Bradbury? Feb 6, 2010
image"If we listened to our intellect we'd never have a love affair."

"We'd never have a friendship. We'd never go in business because we'd be cynical: "It's gonna go wrong." Or "She's going to hurt me." Or,"I've had a couple of bad love affairs, so therefore . . ." Well, that's nonsense. You're going to miss life. You've got to jump off the cliff all the time and build your wings on the way down."
— Ray Bradbury

Love the prose. Can turn purple at times and too-nostalgic...but love it.

I'll be posting more stuff about books and reading. It's my thing. :)

Love ya, L Feb 6, 2010
image"Oh, what strange wonderful clocks women are. They nest in Time. They make the flesh that holds fast and binds eternity. They live inside the gift, know power, accept, and need not mention it. Why speak of time when you are Time, and shape the universal moments, as they pass, into warmth and action?"
— Ray Bradbury (Something Wicked This Way Comes)

Noob Lessons from Rookies Feb 5, 2010
imageLesson #1: Don't Take It To Heart

I can see now that Rookies is a *very* different game from Casting. I flamed out 10th on my 1st game (ugh), and now I'm learning some lessons on my 2nd.

To avoid heartache, I guess one should think that everything that's said and done in the game is *part* of the game. And that we are playing a role when we're in the game. I feel this would lessen fights and accusations about one's true personality.

Of course, one can never competely separate your personality from the persona your playing in a particular game. Still, you can't judge someone solely from the games they played.

Know what? I would really love it if there was like an aftergame chat we can go to and see how we did well and how we didnt. It would be a forum where we can relax outside of the game we just played and say "Whoa that was a cool move you made on Day 2" or "What you said on Day 6 caused you the game" or whatever and laugh and drink to it.
