BB16 Power Rankings

Jul 18, 2014 by Jdempewo
This week in the big brother house was a surprise double eviction as the house not only lost Devin but also his daughter.  With the backdoor being successful, the house was surprisingly less dramatic, and the HOH wins look to keep it that way as Frankie and Cody (members of the detonators alliance) locked up the competition.

Alliances
The Detonators: Derrick, Cody, Zach, Frankie and Christine
The weirdoes: Hayden, Nicole, and Christine
The weirdoes + Donny
Docasta
Team America: Derrick, Donny, Frankie

The power rankings are not based on which houseguest is most popular or least. competitions do factor into these power rankings but they are not the sole indicator of where a houseguest is ranked. Without further ado, your BB16 Power Rankings:

13. Victoria- 'No really, what's your name?' Victoria has been playing an interesting game in that she hasn't. She comes across to other players as weak, some what self centered, and annoying. As a result at this point in the game she has no pull with other houseguest. She is at a huge risk of getting evicted because it creates the least amount of waves

12. Brittany- Brittany has the most pontential of the cellar dwellers to improve her ranking. unfortunately for Brittany she plays a very paranoid game and other guests have taken notice. She's had several opportunities to work with Derrick the previous week but always reneged because she felt she could not trust him. That kind of paranoia has diminished her chances of securing safety and damaged some of her relationships

11. Jocasta-  Jocasta has become a weekly fixture as a nomination due to her perception of weakness. while that does earn her a spot on the eviction chair weekly, it also is her saving grace at this point in the game. She is always the pawn and not the target. her friendship with Donny also gives her some kind of game relationship Brittany and Victoria lack.  Unfortunately, in the game of big brother, eventually the pawn goes home.

10. Caleb- Caleb has the confidence and appearance of a strong competitor. that's his only connection to being a strong competitor. His obsession with Amber weakens his game to the point that he is willing to stay on the block to keep her off it. Quick stat for Caleb, Frankie and Donny currently have won more comps than beast mode cowboy. While he does have decent relationships with some members of the detonators, his game is in huge danger. With Team America's mission being to target a physical threat, Caleb is the easiest to target without throwing the house into pandemonium.

9.  Amber- Amber is in an interesting position in the house. She hasn't handled the Caleb situation all that well, and despite having lots of opportunity to be in the group running the house, she continues to play more of a floater game. Caleb's willingness to throw comps for Amber make her more of a target as they become a public duo instead of individual players.

8. Donny- Donny narrowly edged Amber for the 8th spot. He is getting more active in game talk and working with others, Although being on Team America has more to do with that than Donny playing the game. He never has official alliances but he's good friends with Jocasta and appears to have an agreement with Nicole and the Wierdo Alliance. Unfortunately, despite being liked, it doesn't translate to being trusted or guaranteed to continue to move on every week.

7. Nicole- Nicole showed she was a competitor in the last HoH competition and she is playing a great social game. She is strongly aligned with Hayden and Christine and is mostly off the radar of the other side of the house. As more floaters get sent home, her true game will have to come to light as the sides of the house get pushed further apart. Nicole has potential to be higher but her showmance that has developed with Hayden actually hurts her slightly by showing the rest of the house how close they are.

6. Hayden- Hayden has played a smart game to this point. he is never on anyone's mind as a true threat and hes close enough to all the members of the detonators that he will not be on their radar for quite a while. his showmance with Nicole does hinder his game, but not as much as it hurts Nicole's.

5. Zach- Zach is his own worst enemy. His game play is very similar to a roller coaster. He makes very questionable decisions and is too open with people in his alliance. While his alliances are still firm, his decisions will eventually put him in the crosshairs of his own alliance if he does not slow his roll. With that being said, if Zach can limit how much he runs his mouth, he has the potential to do some real damage in this house.

4. Frankie- Frankie is playing perhaps the best social game in the house. other houseguests have started to catch on. Being a part of the detonators alliance helps keep him protected. He has Zach's trust, more so than he trusts Zach. If he sticks with his alliance and gameplay, he has the potential to make it far into the game.

3. Christine- Christine is playing the smartest and most secretive game in the house. Some cracks are showing in her alliance with Nicole, but for all intents and purposes,  they are still aligned. meanwhile, she also is in the detonator alliance. the only reason she does not take first in the rankings, is that so much of her game depends on others not blowing up her spot!

2. Cody- Cody has been in the right place at the right times. Everyone wants to be aligned with him and he is showing he is a true competition beast as well. If he had pulled off his talk of evicting Caleb, he would have received a huge bump. His positioning in the game has opened up his route to make it to the final day.

1. Derrick- Too this point Derrick, is the strongest player in this game. His work to save Zach and than backdooring Devin give Derrick big play points. He is essentially running the game and seems to be able to make the other houseguests let him have his way without them realizing its better for his game. Big brother is an everchanging game but with his strong alliance and how much others seem to trust Derrick, he is taking the easiest route forward.
