Hopefully i get to vent on this, so please read and give me advice ;/
As some of you know, i have twin 5 year old sisters, Shasta and Lauren. Their identical, but you can tell the difference. While Shasta is really quiet, Lauren talks to people a lot and is really outgoing. However, i have seen some issues that Lauren has had. At night occasionally, i can hear Lauren talking to herself before she falls asleep, and occasionally while she plays or does other things, she speaks what she thinks.
Anyways, me and my dad decided to take her to the hospital earlier this week where they suggested we get her to be checked for the disease AGAIN, last night.
So we took her and she got observed, and they identified not only her having Tourettes but also ADHD.
Tourettes isn't like it is on South Park, unless the person constantly thinks cuss words then they aren't going to blow out spewing words like fuck, shit, and so on. My sister just says what she thinks, which is usually like she's talking to her self.
The only time she stops is when someone is talking to her or occasionally if she's not thinking, like watching TV.
So the doctor gave us the option to put her on medication or to let her not be medicated for a while and see what happens. I'm leaning towards her not being medicated but i'm not well informed on the subject to know if i should or shouldn't.
