I like Phillip, and I'll tell you why. I like people who aren't afraid to be stupid or crazy, but so long as it's not so overblown and obnoxious and hurtful to others. See, Phillip is the "safe" kind of crazy. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone or be a jerk; he was trying to do his own thing that he felt would work and that he was comfortable doing. There's nothing bad about that. Was he a camera hog? Sure. Was he annoying at times? Yeah. But, let's be honest; EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in Survivor at one point or other had an annoying moment. No one is perfect.

So, the point I'm trying to make is that Phillip brought me entertainment, delusional and crazy or not, and I loved that about him. It was something no one else in the game had ever tried, and it made me laugh and be amused. When all I see is complex strategy talk, females laying on the beach half-naked, guys looking for idols, or people whispering to each other like schoolkids, it gets old. Sometimes, you need a good dose of crazy to have fun with these shows. So, that's why I like Phillip.

He was brought back for good tv.
And he wasn't a particularly bad player either. I doubt people would play themselves that much irl so he probs went OTT as a strat so people brought him to f3 which is what happened with Boston Rob.

In both seasons I feel like he played up the crazy as part of his strategy. Him being crazy (in his mind) would make him a lot less threatening and would make people not want to vote him out. He would have been safe too in Caramoan if it wasn't for an idol. Redemption Island I think he was paid off to not say that he was acting crazy just to make finals, I think they wanted Boston Rob to win and didn't let him say it. If you watch the family visit episode he talks about how he had a jury argument that no one else could even use and then his jury speech was a mess and he never said anything of the sort. Phillip is the worst.
He embodies every single negative trait any Survivor contestant could have -- antagonistic, overrated, air time hog, contrived, unnecessarily brought back, sexist, race card, homophobia horrible player, misled the viewers, ruined the season, unattractive, repetitive... every single one of them. There is nobody else who is bad in literally every way a Survivor character can be bad except for Phillip.

WitZ He had zero chance of winning; that makes him a bad player.

Tailslover13 He was never hurtful to others? What about when he accused Steve of being racist for no reason? What about when he did impressions of Michael to make fun of his sexual orientation behind his back and called him 'girlfriend' behind his back? What about when he constantly belitted every single woman he ever was on a tribe with in season twenty-two?

What about Natalie beating Russell no one saw here winning but she did. All she did was follow him and it payed off. People act out of character on tv and I think it is rude to judge anyone solely based on a tv show. They over-exaggerate characters to make them the good guy or the bad guy. Spend an hour with him and see irl if he is that bad before judging him :/

natalie beating russell is obvious to anyone who understands how survivor works and is a pretty good example of why phillip would never have won.
