The requirement for the yellow level needs to be lower.
There are still a shit ton of white level players who can't get a leg up because they don't have pre-made alliances. So white levels have to grind on fastings for like 2 months before they can play a different game. And even when they level up to Yellow, the 30TS you have to pay end up making you come up short for the new game mode that you've grinded so long to play, so then you have to grind the same amount just to get 10Ts.
That's just my opinion.

Fastings are not the way to get to yellow.
You need to join Castings if you would like to gain more.

But even if you do just castings, for new people who don't know that you have to be SUPER active in castings, they're gonna end up getting below 10th most of the time, so have to play weeks at a time is too tedious
