Ice and Kelly both need Alex to go up this round, and will likely nominate Alex against the survivor of this poll.
Given there are only 4 votes, if G2 and Shal vote together and nominate Ice and Beast, here are the outcomes possible, given you can't nominate yourself.
If both sides do as planned, everyone will have 2 votes and there will be a tie.
If one of Kelly or Ice betrays the other, they ensure that person goes up, and lower their own odds of going up. Example, if Ice does Kelly and Alex or Kelly and Survivor, the votes look like:
3 Kelly
2 Ice
2 Alex/Survivor
1 Survivor/Alex (depending on who Ice would not nominate in place of nominating Kelly)
This is the best case scenario for both of these players because it means at WORST they're not going up against a flavour or popular target, and at best they're not going up. What's even better for the survivor of G2 v. Shalissa here is that it's FAR more likely they nominate Alex than you here, given an unnominated Alex wins the game.
But that leads us to the final scenario where they BOTH betray each other, and end up with 3 votes each. Then they're BOTH nominated, and the survivor guaranteed makes finals.
The tl;dr is that statistically and from a prisoner's dilemma standpoint, the best move for our current 2 nominees is NOT to nominate Alex, but to force the other two remaining players to nominate Alex for them, or be nominated themselves.
