will listen to serious news stories on Tengaged than they will on social media (unless you have 2,000+ followers on Twitter or smthn) because Tengaged is one giant forum thread that’s undersaturated with serious news stories.
Yeah people troll but the more people to know about a situation the better, even if only 2-3 people actually take action.
I just don’t like the idea of people thinking this site makes zero difference on real life situations when you never know.

I just don’t want people to be discouraged from sharing news stories here because the more people to know something, the better.

Honestly I have googled things mentioned in blogs, signed petitions, and even donated money to different causes I have seen mentioned on blogs before. So I agree its good to spread information.
