Hi all! <3 thank you so much for the timely submissions, you all did great! I know Taylor is not everyone’s favorite artist but she is my favorite so I wanted to start the season on a good note for me. However... because Taylor is MY favorite artist, I felt like this theme was very focused on my tastes. But I also want to get to know all of YOUR tastes as well, and I would’ve felt bad sending someone home on a Taylor song! Because I love Taylor so much it also made judging this round more difficult and a lot of my opinions were overwhelmingly positive. So that means today is... A NON ELIMINATION ROUND! So yes you will ALL be moving on to round two, but I did add a small “punishment” for the player in last place. Let’s get to the results..

1. Becksta20 / tolerate it / Tolerate it is one of my favorite songs on evermore, and for a while it was my absolute favorite on evermore. I think this is song is so beautifully tragic, and I have cried listening to it multiple times. It is beautifully written and she sounds amazing, definitely one of my favorite all time Taylor Swift songs. Good choice <3 Fave lyric: THE ENTIRE BRIDGE. Literally what the fuck 😭
2. tbrown_47 / august / This is another amazing choice! August is a song that grew on me the more I listened to it, but it’s so fun and paints a clear image in my head every time I listen. I also am a huge Jack Antonoff fan so anything he works on I usually fall in love with. Fave lyric: I can see us twisted in bedsheets august sipped away like a bottle of wine 😌
3. franzella / All Too Well (Red Tour DVD) / Franzini... this is one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs ever, if not my favorite. This would probably be number one if you submit the real version but if I’m honest Taylor doesn’t sound AMAZING in this clip. She is great live but this was kind of off for her I guess. There was a lot of emotion in it though and towards the end she was selling it and because of the song itself it’s still high up there :) Fave lyric: Again, the entire bridge! It’s my favorite bridge of Taylor’s.
4. Kmartt / long story short / ❤️❤️❤️ I did NOT expect to see this song! I never see this song getting the love it deserves especially being from her newest album. I love long story short and I’m so so happy you submit it! TASTE! It makes me dance and sing along every time I hear it. Fave lyric: “pushed from the precipice clung to the nearest lips long story short it was the wrong guy” 🤪

5. Ciurrra / Teardrops on my Guitar / This is one of my FAVORITE “old” Taylor Swift songs. Simple. Love it <3
6. Chels052_ / Picture to Burn / I loooove this song! Reputation is my favorite album of Taylor’s and this was baby reputation.. I love when she is unapologetic and just a bad ass!
7. Lynn12 / White Horse / This is another great pick! I appreciate seeing this in the list today :) It’s another one that always puts me in my feels <3
8. crazybone5000 / You Belong With Me / This is a CLASSIC! I remember seeing Taylor perform this at an award show when I was younger and I was obsessed! This song is still a hit to this day and the music video is so cute. However it is sort of a “safe” pick! Still good though.
9. David2560 / Blank Space / Facts are facts, this is a bop David. It’s been too overplayed but listening to it now reminds me why I love it. It’s fun, lighthearted, a little silly, and catchy af. Another “safe” choice but I love it.
10. Heavenlee / Begin Again / Taylor sounds so beautiful in this song and I love the message <3 It isn’t one of my faves but it’s still great.
11. joshgillespie / betty / I really like betty! This song is not my favorite on folklore so I don’t give it a lot of recognition but it’s still really cute and if I’m in the mood I will jam to it. This is not my favorite out of these choices but it isn’t a bad pick!

12. Blahblahblahblah / Thug Story / This is a very creative pick and I always thought it was hilarious when I was younger. I used to watch it over and over LOL. Obviously compared to the rest of the songs it is pretty low since it’s a parody but I appreciate a lesser known submission :D
13. kingjames13 / Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar) Sorry Cody but this is one of the lowest songs on my all time Taylor ranking :/ it is not my least favorite ever but unfortunately it got overplayed and it just isn’t her best vocally or lyrically or anything. And Kendrick is actually amazing in this but the song is just meh to me overall!
