After an OK episode last time, we are back on track!
Men vs Women - After being such a vital part of the drama last time, the men vs women conflict returned. The women were forced to swallow their pride and go over to the men's tribe to borrow fire. But since the men aren't getting anything, they're pissed. Have to say this; you can't blame them for getting mad for getting nothing. Will this issue be carried forward? Unlikely due to the women finally recovering but you never know. Speaking of which...
Women...FINALLY! - Well, it's about flipping time! The women finally got their situation together and won some freaking challenges! I figured they would win the reward challenge since it didn't require them to work together (Which we know from last challenge is a disaster) but the immunity challenge was a nail biter. I actually thought *sigh* the men won again but then Sabrina caught up and I started to think "Wow is this really happening?" Well it happened and the men were finally sent to TC. Having the men finally scramble can only help the season.
Colton - He was actually pretty low-key until after the immunity challenge which I was very thankful for. But then it became all about him again. I'm grateful that he's stopped whining and being all over dramatic every time we see him. But now he's getting kind of cocky as we saw when he told everyone he had the idol at TC. Will cocky Colton be more bearable than whiny Colton? I don't know but like it or not, he's on his way to becoming a force.
Troyzan/Tarzan - After being somewhat low-key for the first two episodes, they were awesome today. Let's start with Troyzan. He made me laugh in the reward challenge especially when he pulled the lever after once second and made Jeff's voice crack (I must've replayed that moment five times). And then we got the treat of watching him own Matt. It's all in his confessional: "It's not Survivor unless you're lying". Let's go on to Tarzan. Sure, he was kind of cocky as he exposed the alliance. But there is an annoying kind of cocky (Russell) and an entertaining kind of cocky (Coach). After this episode, I believe Tarzan could be the entertaining kind of cocky. I can tell from the TC where he was a bit baffled, and then asked Jeff if the last two votes could be read. I'm going to keep watching these two; they could become my new favorites.
Bill - Bill, what happened? You had a huge lead in the challenge and you blew it. But hey you stayed and I'm glad it was Matt instead of you. You had some entertaining moments in this episode and I hope to see some more of your antics before you go.
Matt - Looking back, he was set up to be Shannon 2.0. He was arrogant, condescending and thought he was in control when he wasn't. His BS rooster speech to Troyzan was just ridiculous. Sure, he stirred it up a bit at Tribal Council but he didn't leave much of an impact. I'm so glad he was out.
In other news, Leif's edit is officially as big as he is. Seriously, what did he do to piss the editors off so much?
Well, we're on our way to possibly the best season we've had in a while. See you for episode four!
