How to last for a few merges in a row on Survivor!!! Sep 11, 2009
Hey, tengagers! I know this is a long blog, but if you take the time to hear me out on this...i think i have a good strategy for lasting in this game...if you find any holes, lemme know...okay...first off, when the game starts, everyone individually has 50/50, and the group also has 50/50...now if from the get-go, everyone hunts and gathers water without stoking the fire(let it die out every time)...if the work load is split properly, it'll take at least 6 to 7 game days to get to 0/0 individually, unless you are losing every challenge, and have to evict nearly everyone...then less people will have to do more, so it might be a day or two sooner...if you have kept gathering water and food with your personal supplies, without dipping into the groups, your group supplies should be at 100/100 easily...it's only 5 water gatherings, and 5 hunting trips...the only drawback to this is that you will have less time to finish challenges, because of the lack of personal supplies...this being the case, you might JUST evict most of your people...but even if that happens, most likely a few people will be left in the tribe. at the point when everyone's personal supplies run out, you can just eat 1 or drink 1 daily when the fire relights itself, to avoid dying, and easily make the merge. right before the merge, however, everyone remaining can just split whatever supplies you have, and everyone will go to the merge with a nice amount of strength...even if every member of your tribe is left, you should still be able to have at least 8 or 9 food AND water APIECE! if it's down to like 4 or 3 people, you're talking 25 to 30 of both(maybe slightly more or slightly less...i didn't do the math, just guesstimated)!!! if this seems like a good strategy to anyone else, lemme know what you think...i know, of course, that this strategy relies on trusting the people in your tribe, but if you have a trustworthy tribe, this may be a great way to get to the merge easily, and with little effort on anyone's part! and if you continue to do this in each merge, it WILL eventually run out, but you can probably make a few merges in a row, if all goes well! Obviously, this strategy is individualized...it's not necessarily meant to get the WHOLE tribe to merge...but either way though, i hope this strategy helps anyone who cares to read it...like i said at the beginning, other than untrustworthy tribemates, if you find anything else technically wrong with this strategy, lemme know! peace out, and have fun, Survivors!!!

Survivor Flaw... Sep 9, 2009
Ok...it just dawned on me, though it probably should have from the start, that NOBODY has ever died on the real Survivor, so why should we die here? Instead of dying when you reach 0/0, why can't that individual person have one less minute to do the challenge? Or if the tribe themself were at 0/0 combined, the whole tribe gets one less minute, regardless of their personal supply count.  It would be like being low on supplies in the real game...but instead of being dead, we're just "weakened"...the penalty in that being that our tribe would have to go to eviction more often, and be voted out instead...at least that way, people wouldn't feel like they're losing money playing. Think about it, you'd still have to do the "camp chores" if you want to keep your tribe "safe" from the threat of tribal council, and to keep yourself healthy, so that aspect of the game wouldn't dwindle, but at the same time, people wouldn't feel like they'd wasted their time playing, and the game would still be successful...plus, Randomize wouldn't have to worry about changing all the other aspects of food to water ratios...they could just stay as they are now...that's just a thought on how it might make the game more worthwhile to play for all involved! Peace out!

SURVIVOR SUGGESTIONS! Sep 8, 2009
Okay, i realize this game is still in the beginning stages, but i have a few suggestions that might help to make it better somewhere down the line...

1.Water-----Now, as we all probably know by now, water has been a big problem for just about everyone who's played thus far. What if, instead of a one time gathering of 10% water per rain, every tribemate could gather it? And you could drop the amount from 10% to like 3%, and only if every tribemate were actively there gathering it, you'd have a chance to gather a total of 30% water at the end of it? Whereas if only like 3 people are actively there, you'd only get 9%. That way, it really makes gathering water a necessary tribal function for everyone. Plus, it would help to make up for the amount of water you need to stoke fire, hunt, and whatever you lose at day change. And also, since rain time is random, it's not like everyone would always be able to do it all at once, so tribes wouldn't constantly be able to pull 30%, if ever. Also, you could do the same thing for hunting, but instead of gaining 10 food, each player could gain 2%, for a total of 20% if all are included? Just like the real Survivor, everyone can do anything under certain circumstances, rather than just one person.

2.Penalties-----The games algorythms should take into account how much someone does around camp compared to their intake. For example, say someone stoked the fire once, but consumed 6% water, and 6% food...they'd technically be taking 6% too much of a certain supply. And there's bound to be players here and there that consume all the supplies at the start of the game, either to spite someone they don't like, or just to try and pad themselves in hopes of making the merge, making it near impossible for others who spent 20T$ to play to last for long. So why not institute a penalty system? If someone takes more than they give, why not take more from them at day change for that day? You can base the penalty amounts on the amounts that players overuse. That way, someone who takes only a few percent more than they should would be less penalized than someone who takes way more of a percentage than they should...and maybe for the most severe of penalties, rather than penalizing them at day change, exclude the worst offenders from the next day's immunity challenge. And on the flip side, players who go above and beyond to do "camp chores", yet don't intake as much as they give, should be rewarded by having less taken at day change. I know this system is somewhat flawed, but i'm sure it can be perfected in a way that is both fair and satisfactory to all the players involved.

3.Community Screen-----What if we were able to have a community screen to chat back and forth between tribes, but without a PM option, to deter giving away crucial information...this way the two tribes could do all of their trash-talking in between challenges, creating a more inclusive gaming experience.

Like i said, these are just some suggestions. I'm well aware that some of you will not like these ideas, and that some of you will, but we ALL play this game, so if it can be made better in any way, i'm all for it!

2012...is it the end, or nothing at all? Sep 1, 2009
What's your opinion of 2012? Is it the end of days for the human race? If you think it is, then how will it be? Or are you of the persuasion that it's just a bunch of fearmongering? Discuss.
