If you are loyal to someone who chooses to be loyal to someone else, do you take that as them being disloyal to you? And what about when you choose to be loyal to someone else, are you disloyal to the first person?!?

I try to be as loyal to all my friends as much as possible. If they choose to be loyal to someone else thats fine i will still remain loyal.
Umm idk tbh I think everyone has diff expectations of their friends when it comes to loyalty - for me it’s literally a matter of respecting me - idrc what others do + who they befriend because I’m not perfect so my issues with someone else could very well be my own fault.
Also I noticed people will often impose their expectations/definition of loyalty onto me when I don’t define it the same way, and I have had circumstances where some friends have gotten irritated with me for continuing to be cordial with others or friendly or whatever.
