with somebody I don't find attractive. It may sound superficial, but what I mean is that I feel that sex is exteremly important part of the relationship, and making love to someone that doesn't turn me on sexually would be hard.

I agree attraction is important, for me it can come from a combination of looks and personality traits. If I see a really hot guy who is a complete asshole I find their face becomes less attractive to me. If i see an 'average' looking guy whose confident and kind, I'll fall for that too.
