SexGoddx's idea HAS been suggested before, especially with the case of #Lindblad being forced to be Lindb due to the Lindblad company wanting to sue Rando because the Tengaged page beat their company on Google AND Lindb apparently gave them a bad name? XD
So it is logically possible for a username to be changed with no technical repercussions.
However, I have these issues.

1) I'm now a TV star with a million T$. I have decided that I no longer want to be Yoshitomi, but instead I want to be @YoSheToeMeOhNo.
www.tengaged.com/user/yoshitomi & www.tengaged.com/blog/yoshitomi will cease to exist!
Hence, since the user is not banned, but instead non-existent, then someone could make a new account and call it Yoshitomi.
Rando would have to program in a way for links which lead to the original name to now lead to the new name, but not be recreated.
Which leads to issue number 2!

Back in the old days, we could edit the link like so: http://www.tengaged.com/blog/Randomize/2757999/yoshitomi-best-user-ever and it would lead to the blog above. It was a brilliant way to blog spam. #FunTimes.
Now, as you see, it no longer works. To stop the pranks.
Hence, if I changed my username, the link would have to become: http://www.tengaged.com/blog/YoSheToeMeOhNo/2757999/post-questions-future-vlog
Which Rando would have to reprogram in to allow this.
Hence the pranks can occur again! Yay!
But there may have been another reason for Rando removing that glitch, since it wasn't exactly harmful at the time (I mean, the trend happened before excessive porn blogs was a thing). And with the excess of porn blogs, people could be lead into all kinds of trouble.

3) Since there is no search function on Tengaged, the "formally known as ____" feature is actually completely pointless.
Until Tengaged HAS a search function, THEN that would be amazing and I would love this idea.
But if I left for a year (which I almost did, and many other users actually have done), I would lose track of people I used to know.
