1x2: "#BeAStar"
Aspiring actress Jillian Murphy plans to one day have her name known by everyone, and the first step to achieving this goal is to snag the lead in the school play. Jillian's audition goes perfectly, until that is, she trips on stage, and everyone ridicules her. The school play producer, Ashton, apologizes and informs her that she did not get the part. Jillian curses out everyone, swearing they will regret this when she is on the big screen.
Meanwhile, Liam takes Josie on their first date at The Dot, which is surprisingly awkward as they know nothing about each other but have already had sex. Liam tries to take initiative and start the conversation, but he chokes on his food and accidentally spits it out on Josie, who runs out in embarrasment and disgust.
Finally, Katie Beth heads to the guidance counselor's office for help, as she has no friends and everyone makes fun of her. The guidance counselor talks with Katie Beth, and suggest Katie Beth go into the "Special Education" program, which Katie Beth is infuriated at. The counselor brings in fellow freshman, Aaron Roberts, who talks highly of the Special Ed program. A reluctant Katie Beth agrees to go into "Special Ed" in hopes of possibly making new friends.
