Of course all peoples have their own traditions and beliefs that are practiced. For the most part these traditions will be universal, some traditions are strictly regional. Some smaller groups of people who are nomadic, do not have claims to any Kingdom, or are from Kingdoms far from the mainland do not typically follow all of these traditions but usually most of them.
Marriage

A very common practice across all Kingdoms. Often arranged for political, monetary, or to prove alliance between two Houses. Most often the woman takes the name and House of her husband, but if a woman comes from a House of great power, the man may abandon his House instead and join that of his wife's. Divorces are not practiced in the Kingdoms.
Trial By Combat

In times where a subject is sentenced to death they take claim to a Trial By Combat, fighting themselves or asking someone to fight for them, they will challenge someone of the Royal Court's choosing. If they win they are free of their charges and deemed innocent in the eyes of the Kingdom.
Language
-------------------
All settled lands on the continent speak the common tongue (English) Kingdoms off of the mainland may speak other languages but usually know the common tongue. Some parts of the Kingdom may still hold their old languages as a tradition, such as in the Swamplands region of the mainland.
Religion
----------------
Religion varies in many parts of the world. On the mainland continent there are two different religions, to the west of the mountain range they follow a system that believes in three Gods. They are the Gods of: Life, Death, and Nature. The other popular religion believes in a system of five Gods: Fertility, Fate, Love, Light, and Darkness.
