Houseguests, the power is up for grabs. Tayvie, as outgoing Head of Household you are not eligible to compete.

Tonight’s competition is called “Opening Bell”.

Houseguests, you are all getting a chance to trade on the Big Brother Stock Exchange. Each of you has $1,000 and the chance to invest in different stocks which offer varying levels of risk vs. return, based on if they go “boom” or “bust” (i.e the chatzy):

Stock 1 offers a 70% chance of increasing the value of your invested money for a 30% rate of loss/return (i.e if you invest $100, you would end up with either $70 or $130 depending on if the stock went boom or bust).
Stock 2 offers a 60% chance of increasing the value of your invested money for a 40% rate of loss/return (i.e if you invested $100, you would end up with either $60 or $140)
Stock 3 offers a 50% chance of increasing the value of your money for a 50% loss/return rate. (i.e if you invested $100, you would end up with either $50 or $150)
Stock 4 offers a 40% chance of increasing the value of your money for a 60% loss/return rate (using the same example as before, $40 or $160)
Stock 5 offers a 30% chance at increasing the value of your money for a 70% loss/return rate ($30 or 170$)

You may invest your $1000 however you want, but you must do so in increments of $100. After everyone has bid, the chatzy will decide whether the stocks go boom or bust (i.e the win/loss result will be the same for everyone that chooses to invest in that stock, but how *much* you win or lose depends on how big of a risk you took). Alternatively, you can decide to keep all or part of your money in the bank (again, increments of $100), which means you will not have any gain or loss on that amount.

The person with the most money at the end of the competition will be the new Head of Household! In the event of a tie, the person who submitted first will win. All submissions are due by 7 PM EST tomorrow.
