This season I decided not to hold a reunion because I felt it would be counterproductive.

It's no secret that this season has been a negative experience for many of the people involved and for that I truly apologize.

I will leave with some parting words and lay this season to rest.

The season and the idea of Culture War was to celebrate the diversity of the group game community and the Cutthroat community here on Tengaged by inviting back eight of the most successful players of this generation from across the world. Instead, this season highlighted the toxicity of the community.

I host seasons for two reasons: 1) to give me something to keep busy with, but 2) more importantly, to give Cutthroat's players something to enjoy. This season definitely kept me busy, but I don't believe I completed my second goal of giving my players something to enjoy.

The format was controversial and I need to take full responsibility for it. I apologize to anyone who was offended by the theme or format because it did have potential to marginalize -- and it did. I do believe it negatively affected people's experiences and that was not my intention at all.

I will take this experience, learn from it, and move forward.

What I will also learn from and take away from this experience is to be firmer in my hosting and the behavior that takes place during the game. I need to be less tolerant and more active in calling out toxic behavior. I also need to take care of my own personal health and realize when I'm being taken advantage of.

I hope that the cast can walk away with something positive in this experience, but also that this is simply a game meant for enjoyment and to spread positivity rather than negativity. Good night.
