Q1. Ok, a basic one, but I do really want to know. What does being cutthroat mean to you, and how do you feel you best portrayed it in this game?
A. Cutthroat to me means that you're willing to do anything to win and cut anyone's throat to do so. I feel this was portrayed by the fact that I lead and clearly hurt a side, I played to win and had to cut throat's and hurt people to do so.
Q2. For Eoin and Joey - I think we all reviewed the list of cutthroat history while idol hunting? You wanted a F3 with a previous winner? Make it make sense. Especially Eoin, you've come so close before. Wouldn't it have been more cutthroat to ensure your biggest threats weren't there with you? And Joey, for me, going to the end with two finalists looks like an even odder choice. Were you sheeping them or?
A. To me, past games mean nothing, I've won games Jake has lost, vice versa, I played this game as an individual game and isolated it from past games, we've played together. Therefore, the fact he's a winner didn't play into account this game. In my eyes, it was cutthroat the way I played, even if it is sitting beside Jake, I'm confident my game is different enough from his and flashier, I think they're both very different. I think I was more cutthroat, in the fact I've cut more throats to get here. But I don't think how Jake played a previous game should secure any votes.
Q3. For all 3. I really do hate cross-tribe talk before swap/merges. In my mind, I'm playing a game in a slightly roleplaying capacity, and there are imagined physical barriers preventing me from discussing anything with other tribes. Am I a fool? Is it a requirement to start the cross-tribal communication in order to succeed?
It's not a requirement, we played a solo game for the majority of it, for example, Jake and I were against each other for most of the early merge and our relationship didn't really help until then. So yes, it did help me in this game, particularly, from the idol onwards. But as Jake said there were 15 people, and three of us. It was a benefit, to have them coming into the game, I do agree.
