Task #1: Winter Wonderland

It was quite natural for Luka to take the winter task as New York is far more colder and have more harsh winters then Britain. Plus he rocks the snow and the outfit really well.

Task #2: Black and White

The task presented was give us an emotional black and white photo so therefore I went with this theme and I think I nailed it bringing out the emotion

So funny enough I got this theme just because of who I played last season but anyways the song Levitating and the artist itself I decided to take inspiration from the beat feel to it but also the artist in Dua Lipa given a very sexy but lifted photoshoot like Dua presented.

Now how Luka views me as very detailed oriented knowing how to set a mood and how to pose, and just bring in the scenery that I'm trying to present so therefore Luka here is trying to present an embodiment of me with scenery, posing, and a signature intensity that Luka claims is in my eyes.

This queen is serving extravaganza comfort for winter. Look how good she can portray using all these patterns, also, her hair is giving Frizz ("Freeze" u got the joke, right?)

Tanya's thought process behind this was Yibo is a singer/rapper and motorcycle racer. She combined his urban and rocker type style with blazers bcs he seems to like wearing blazers. (She's super right!)

So, talking right now about this dueto challenge. It's my second time working with Tanya, and i can't say nothing than Thank You. We have such a nice chemistry and we work super really well together!

Reece & Shanina: Challange #8

1. Winter

Turtleneck sweaters are under appreciated fashion staples of the winter season. For this challenge, my goal was to not gravitate toward taking an instagram-esque shot. With this theme, I avoided the temptation to take a shot with a simple pose and scenery. The monochromatic background brings all the attention to the outfit. This look demonstrates the wide range of winter clothes.

2. Black and White

For my black and white image, I wanted to give the classic portrait with a modern and fashion twist. I wanted to portray Shanina as the regal and beautiful woman that she is whilst still paying homage to a fashion element with her being exposed and glamourised to give the feel of the modern day fashion industry. I believe she will continue to look beautiful regardless of the scenario but pushes through in whatever way is necessary and I hope that you can see that when looking at the shot.

3. Levitating

The song represents new found love and the feeling of euphoria we receive from being with the ones we care most for. I wanted to take this aspect of the song and reflect it within the image, a person's wedding day is meant to be the happiest of days during someone's life, a feeling that I wanted to highlight and showcase within this shot. The image portrays Shanina as the bride patiently waiting for the love of her life to begin their journey together, something which I believe ultimately will happen to the person in the narrative of the song Levitating. Her calm and demure demeanor represents the inner joy that one may feel when becoming a bride and ultimately encapsulates the overall meaning of the song itself.

The foundation quality of Shanina's beauty is a high elegance that can be built upon to fit the theme of the photoshoots and challenges. Her range of style is equivalent to a Swiss army knife. She has the uncanny ability to always hit the theme no matter how obscure or unfamiliar the topic is for her. Shanina also has the ability to take breathe taking photos as well channel simplistic gracefulness depending on the mood she is aiming for. However, the final product is always a high fashion masterpiece and I wanted to bring her style to justice.

Working hard and training to a common goal is such a gratifying process. There's nothing more raw than to capture that moment when you eye-up your opponent because in that moment you let your guard down slightly and are vulnerable. You don't rely on your physical abilities anymore but you bring in your emotional capabilities also.

3)Levitating

Long story short, the song is about falling in love so deeply that you feel like you're levitating and flying at the speed of light! That's what I'm trying to portray in this photo!

4) My Pair

I've noticed Sasha being a dark horse in this competition! I've always seen her as a mystery cause I'm not able to read her properly, my assumption of her when this competition started was that she was able to portray fashion well. However in these last few weeks she's shown versatility by bringing in the sultry vibe! I wanted to emulate her through this shot.

MALAIKA AND LUKA

Winter Wonderland - It definitely is true that New York does snow more than Britain. I think this shot looks good, nothing too spectacular but hits the theme pretty well.

Black & White - I like this shot, not only it is another different layer we get to see you, but it oozes with emotion which is one of the requirements of the shot.

Levitating - Firstly, the colors popping on this shot are really fun. The route you take was quite different from what I expected, but I am happy with your photo.

My Pair - I actually expected the other way around for this shot, I pictured Malaika portraying Luka. That said, the photo looks good I just don't know how much you captured Malaika.

TANYA AND YIBO

Winter Wonderland - Those eyes! You are rocking that whole look, ready for the winter. The hair flowing and those smokey eyes, the posing looks quite weird and does take away some of the beauty of this.

Black & White - This is really powerful, Yibo. The minimalistic this shot is giving does make you focus on the visuals, and you delivered. The extra floral decoration enhances this shot as well, but the main focus is you, you are the star.

Levitating - First of all, the background looks very fun, a very smart take on the "levitating" factor with your feet not touching the ground. The facial expression I believe could have given us fun so it goes with the flow with the happy colors presented.

My Pair - Facial expression-wise, definitely you captured Yibo. The style presented, I can see Yibo with that blazer. Going with your photo, the mirror effect looked really good, but again those eyes just draw you in.

REECE AND SHANINA

Winter Wonderland - I must agree with you that winter fashion tends to underappreciated turtlenecks. That being said, you sold this look quite well. Not only that, you manage to sell the watch as well and it's not even the star of this whole look.

Black & White - You definitely look incredibly beautiful. Now, given what I've seen so far in this category I don't know how much it goes up there but looking past that, this is a very solid submission.

Levitating - That was such a very unique take on the song, I liked how you did go to that route and do make you think of a scenario. Now, as I was reading your explanation, connecting it with your shot I was actually quite expecting something different, something more. But I think this still is a good shot nonetheless.

My Pair - Beauty, and elegance definitely are the two words I can describe Shanina, and this is what you did here. Your analyzation of your pair is really well thought of and it reflected on how you explained and connected it with your presented shot.

CONG AND SASHA

Winter Wonderland - First of all, this photo is very much a "best performance of the week" worthy shot. The editorial feeling of this shot, the whole look, and the fashion-forward message you are giving are up there.

Black & White - That message though. I like this shot, I do think you would have benefited more with a close-up shot or maybe a plain background. That said, I am still impressed with this submission.

Levitating - This is such a nice and very precise explanation. You need not complicate things, you go with the obvious but give it your own twist. Both your submissions tonight really impressed me.

My Pair - I didn't expect Cong would be portraying Sasha, I thought the other way around. I definitely think Sasha did show versatility the last few weeks and it reflected in her getting higher on the rankings. However, I am still quite unsure of your take here.
