This week's photoshoot we are going to look deeper! This photoshoot will probably one of the most enjoyable ones, because you are going to discover more of your model's self.

For your photoshoot this week, you are going to be researching what is YOUR MODEL'S name meaning and translate that in to your photo. Once you looked through any search engine, you are given atleast 2 different name interpretation, you are free to chose any interpretations you want and represent that interpretation in a photo (literally, figuritively, metaphorically, it's up to you to decide how you'll be interpreting such).

For e.g. your model's name is Marlon (there's like atleast 1 to 2 different interpretation/s of that name, so you are to chose what you will be interpreting), you are going to find that (a) The meaning of Marlon is "little hawk". (b) It is also of English origin, where its meaning is "little warrior". So you have two choices for it, any will do.

Okay everyone, confession time! My REAL name isn't Lizzo! It's Melissa Viviane Jefferson. The name I have decided to interpret today is "Viviane". While doing my research, I came across this piece: "In Arthurian legend, Vivian was the name of the Lady of the Lake, an enchantress who was the mistress of Merlin." (i.e. Viviane means "Lady of the Lake").

Jelena means shining light so I will be focusing on this aspect. And hopefully since the challenge was such an undeserved flop for my team, I will be able to redeem myself in this challenge.

Shining light can be literal or figuratively taken. I will be looking at both. My clothes shine, but my pose and my attitude is strong and IMO memorable which is the figurative meaning of Shining Light.

Saskia De Brauw: One meaning of the name is of Dutch and North German origin, where it originally meant "a Saxon woman"

Within the English culture, Anglo-Saxon women had many different roles. They were in charge of housekeeping, weaving cloth, cooking meals, creating pottery, and jewelry. So with this photo, I wanted to show a hard-working woman within a distinct society. The urn that Saskia is holding represents how women within this era often stayed at home and loved creating pottery and other different artistic sculptures. I wanted to capture the essence and the culture within this time period of a hard working saxon women.

Lenox Tillman: With Many Elm Trees

Lenox is a Gaelic name which means “with many elm trees”. Now with doing some research, elm trees in Celtic mythology directly correlate to a passageway to the underworld and/or a world with elves and faeries. I wanted to stick with that idea and give you what the other side of that passageway would look like. I decided to give a split type photo to better show the exact moment where “good” and “evil” find one another. Where the underworld meets the human world. Where faeries meet demons. I wanted to show a half naked (as faeries usually are) faery, defending herself against a high ranking member of the underworld.

due to the beauty of having two names, i thought it'd be smarter to capitalize and use both of yoonyoung. individually they mean "soft, sleek" (yoon) and "petal, flower, leaf; brave, a hero" (young). i believe as though they work together perfectly in my shot, visible through my more mellow, gentle pose and seamless comfortability within the bed of flora beneath me.

Jhonattan, also known as Jonathan or Yonatan, means “Gift of God” but also “God has Given”. I think there is a sense of purity and innocence when your name literally means “Gift of God”, so I tried to portray that in my photo. Innocence and purity in the form of a man.
