TASKS:

Task 1 - Jon's Choice
Work It!: It is time to do another commercial photoshoot, this time we are going to focus on one thing alone - SHOES! Show us what modeling is all about head-to-toe with of course a focus on what you are trying to sell/show to the public that pair of shoes.

Task 2 - Garrett's Choice
Hidden Figures: It is time to take tributes on those who made an impact. For this task you are to choose an influential person, we are not closing it only on celebrities (but it's fine if you wanted to do celebs), we are talking about history makers, politicians, beauty queens, even extending to here, Tengaged users, even past NTM winners.

Task 3 - Jerard's Choice
Infinity Stones: Time to take on one of the biggest movie franchise ever, the MCU. More specifically here we are talking about Infinity Stones. There are six infinity stones Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Time, Soul. Now this will be a first come first pick basis with two slots for each stones (so third time picking the same stone is not allowed). Understand the stone and its power and importance. In short, be the stone.

Task 4 - Lenox's Choice
Recreate: It's time to go back to the past, your NTM past. It is now time to recreate something you think you could've done better. In a pool of interesting photoshoots you've already done, I believe in some way you think one of your photo could've been better. It's now that time to rewrite the past. Show us another photo that you think would have been that better choice.

Explanation for Tasks 2, 3, and 4 are HIGHLY necessary. You have 48 hours to do all the tasks. Failure to submit on time means 2 point deduction. Goodluck! x

For this task I'm choosing a simple shot. It shows off the shoes in a very natural and toned down way.

For this photo, I am paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman.
(This would not be the first time for Lupita to recreate a Chadwick photoshoot; however, I am not using that photo as I do not feel that it is appropriate to use an existing tribute for an online competition).
It's important to me that he receives a tribute, because he had such an amazing impact with his career in acting. His death was a major loss and not only because he was an amazing, but because he was one of the few superheros for young children of color to look up to. My photo is a combination of two of my favorite photos of Chadwick. I have taken the strong tones present in one image, while also giving slight classy and grounded vibes that the other photos gives.

For this photo I'm choosing to represent the Time Stone. So I don't know anything about the MCU, so I had to do a little bit of research. I best believe I am representing the time stone for a few reasons. The stone's color is green, and in this photo not only is my dress a bluish green, but I'm also in the green natural environment. The user of this stone can manage time on a smaller or more massive scale. In this photo, I am taking us back in time! The outfit and jewelry is giving a more traditional vibe, and I am taking us back in time to being out in nature and not so much inside on technology!

For this photo I'm recreating the editorial photo shoot. Some of the judges liked the photo I did choose, but other judges felt it was still too commercial. I want to specifically show those judges that I can do editorial when necessary. For the judges that did like the past photo, I'm hoping to show them a different style of editorial that I can do! This photo gives off retro and futuristic vibes!

Few competitors submit a photo sitting on the floor. I decided to bring something like that, simple, but beautiful to see.

For this shot my inspiration was not a specific person, but the main character of Queen's Gambit. The main character is passionate about chess and her pleasure is to win. The passion she feels for chess is the same as I feel for this competition.

According to my research, the JEWEL OF POWER is capable of destroying planets and therefore needs to be used sparingly and carefully. Here I present a malicious side of Joo Hyuk, who did not appear here in the competition. A cynical and ironic Joo Hyuk, capable of destroying planets only for pure pleasure. The evil Joo Hyuk.

For this shot I decided to redo the commercial challenge. As much as it was not my worst performance, it is the one that left me most upset because I had better options to follow. Here I present the product to be offered, a perfume, and with it showing my strong point: my face. At first this was my initial plan, but unfortunately I abandoned it and ended up being unable to deliver what I intended.

Task 2: Hidden Figures

My inspiration is Lindsay Vonn who is an Olympic Skier! She is super fierce and always looks great while performing. 
Vonn was an Olympian in 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2018. As one of the most famous names in the sport, she has had significant success at the Olympics: She's won one gold medal (in the downhill race at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010). She's won two bronze medals (one at Pyeongchang in 2018 and one at Vancouver in 2010).

Instead of focusing on the color of the stone I've decided to focus on the "unnaturally powerful strength" & the quality of having unlimited or very great power that the stone gives an individual.

In my photo I've obtained the power stone and it ended up giving me multiple gifts but most of all Mind Control. So I've got my worst enemy eating out of the palm of my hand. I have control of his body mind & soul... he is mine and I'm in full control & hold all the power & the evil will finally be resolved... or will it? Stay tuned!

Task 4: Recreate

For this I've decided to redo my "Editorial" photoshoot.  It almost sent me home but it also ended up giving me a disadvantage for the go sees so I'm definitely looking to redeem myself here.

In my photo I'm inspired by Havana, Cuba. The classic clothing style, colored walls & the tropical atmosphere. Just a night out in the town of Havana and after dancing all night I've decided to lay down to take a break and BOOM.  the photo was born.

Task 2: Hidden Figures.

For this shoot, I've decided to take inspiration from one of the people I admire the most - Mother Teresa. She was known as an advocate, an activist, and a world leader. Mother Teresa was caring, kind and motherly to all she endured, working with HIV patients, adopting homeless babies and inspiring the people of the world with her beautiful personality.

In this shoot I'm honoring other Teresa with my soft, kind and caring expression, pose and overall aesthetic. It's very out of the box for me and a big risk.

Task 3: Infinity Stones.

For this task I'm deciding to tackle the Mind Stone. This stone is quite powerful, and the user of the stone will have the ability to control minds, read minds, communicate telepathically and manipulate dreams. Additionally, when combined with all of the other stones, the user will be able to manipulate all minds all across the universe.

For my interpretation I'm appearing in a dream - or a nightmare - but the key focus is my eyes. I'm staring into your soul, communicating telepathically and taking control of your mind.

Task 4: Recreate.

For this shoot I'm deciding to recreate my commercial challenge, where I had actually gotten the lowest score of the group. My photo was a bit too bland and forgettable, which is why for this picture I'm going for a more bright, personality-filled shot. I'm giving some sass with my expression and pose while also showcasing the dress.

Task 2: Hidden Figures

This person I’m inspired by is Nicole Kidman. An actress that has done some amazing work and has one many awards with her incredible and Iconic movies. The inspiration for this is from her movie The Stepford Wives which was about powerful women being turned into domesticated FEMbot of some sorts. However there is an old yet odd glamour aesthetic to the movie and I’m getting that.

Task 3: Infinity Stones

I am representing the stone of the soul. The stone allows the user to steal, control, manipulate, and alter living and dead souls; as well as animate the motionless. The Soul Gem also acts as a gateway to an idyllic pocket universe. At full potential, when backed by the Power Gem, the Soul Gem grants the user control over all life in the universe.

This photo represents when the stone is used to control the soul. Violet is loosing on sense of self and the hands are their to cover what is within. It’s kind of a disturbing shot.

I am recreating the iconic character of mine which was the sensual and sexy Dewinter sister. However, I’m presenting the more vein side of her and the fixation she has of being put together.

Task 1 (shoes):
Lupita – You’re definitely selling shoes in a way that’s subtly confident!
Joohyuk - We can't see some of the shoe's design. But, I still love everything else. I find it brilliant that your hands are where they are since they help pull the viewer straight to the shoes. Overall, a good job.
Taylor - This photo's so bizarre, but I find it mesmorizing. I think your look like a barbie and are selling the shoes like your life depends on it.
Mia - I love how you take risks. Unfortunately, one entire shoe is missing from the photo. Had it not been for that, this could’ve been a great photo.
Violet - You're definitely selling the shoes and looking fabulous. I don't really think this stands apart from some of the other photos in your portfolio though.

Task 2 (hidden figures)
Lupita - This is pretty! This photo is a strong combination of the two and I love the creative twist on the theme you brought.
Joohyuk – Wow! I love how you're glowing and how you're playing with the chess pieces in the background low key. This is one of my favorite photos of you.
Taylor - You hit the theme really well, but this photo could’ve been even better if you were more aware of your face. It looks pretty lost.
Mia - Girl, I can definitely see the mother theresa. You look like you're depleted. Like you used every ounce of energy you have to serve and you still wanna s erve more. So, I definitely think this is a job well done.
Violet - Whew the small picture. Jerard and other judges clocked you for this a few weeks ago, so I'm surprised to see you did it again. Idk how the other judges will take it... Either way, I think you look fabulous and full of that old glamour you're describing.
Task  3 (Stones)
Lupita -  I love where you went with the theme. You went so creatively and hit the theme really well in your photo.
Joohyuk - Yeah, you definitely look like a plant killer! The hunch, creepy eyes, and overall vibe are great. You seemed to take my feedback last week about just going for the theme hard and it certainly paid off.
Mia - wow... everyone's really killing this theme so far imo. Your eyes and everything else are chilling. You’re doing so little, yet so much. Nicely done.
Violet – I’m a bit confused about what you mean by your hands are covering what's within, but I can interpret that as meaning your hands are blocking the way to your soal. It's a pretty photo, but not one that's as interesting as the other models'.
