For your task today, we are to portray our nationalities, but this time it's not your nationality but rather your co-models nationality. I will assign you each a nationality, and what I need you to do is to learn and understand their ways of life, culture, traditions, fashion, etc. Or you can go to your co-models and ask about their nationality.

"Lights and Colors in Dark"

So, for this week's photoshoot - we are going dark ------ But with a light. As for today's shoot which actually is one of my favorites for this cycle. So for your shoot, you are to find a photo that ofcourse has a light and colors in darkness, ofcourse you don't need complete darkness, but what I need to see is ofcourse you in the dark.

LIU WEN: American

For my shot this challenge I want to capture your stereotypical American socialite. From the fur coat to the way I am innocently glancing over my shoulder, I want this shot to be pure class. Think 60s New York.

Photoshoot

My favourite thing about this shot is how imperfect it is. The backing behind me is almost overpowering, but I'm captivating the camera with my piercing red lips and bizarre-looking pose. The colours are so exotic, too: it looks almost like a nightlife photo, as if it could have been taken in a bar of some sort. And I'm bringing the atmosphere.

Orange and Black! Perfect timing as Halloween is around the corner;)

I love how dark and sexy this comes across. There’s a mystery there in your eyes that draws me in and only enhanced by the darkness. The light used keeps things mysterious and overall this is one of your best shots of the season.

- Kendall Jenner (Carvalho)
Your face looks weird here and I think it’s mostly due to the red on it. I think you have an overall decent shot here, but the red lighting on your face isn’t working for you.

- Liu Wen (Montenegro)
Very well done! It represents the nightlife perfectly and you made good use of some lighting effects in the background. Your styling is on point and overall you executed this task very well.

- Miranda Kerr (ParvatiS)
This just looks like a boring lingerie advertisement. The lighting and everything is fine, but I wish you were wearing more to make it a bit more intriguing and less cliché.

- Saskia de Brauw (deshonBANNEDISBACK)
Stunning! I love the lighting and how dramatic this comes across. The dress and flowers are extraordinary and adds to this dark meets light task.

Overall this is a nice shot and I like how you mixed the dark with the light. I wish your arms were doing something else, but overall you did a great job!

I love that you did something different from the others. This may seem basic, but you are not only elegantly posted, but the dress enhances your beauty. It’s perfect and the face you’re giving is pure perfection.

Liu- Wow this was actually really beautiful and it followed the task vey well. You  explained it very beautifully and really this picture is all around gorgeous if i wanted to change anything it’d have to be the arm position but nevertheless i really love this.

Garret- This actually is not a bad photo. If the photo showed more of the body then I think this would be a knock out of the part shot but it is just a up close face shot but it still does fit the theme so not bad. There definitely is something interesting and mysterious about the photo that comes and like Carly I do think this is your best photo.

Kendall- Though this does follow the theme I am not a huge fan of the lighting choice. I’m sure there could have been a better lighting choice because this doesn’t make you look appealing. It’s okay-ish but the lighting definitely makes this just feel weird.

Saskia-  This just doesn’t feel like Lights and Colors in Dark. I think you’re a phenomenal model but I was not intrigued by this shot because it’s not really what was asked or at least what i’m interpreting would be an okay shot for this task. It’s mysterious and has an edgy vibe to it but I just can’t get around the lighting.

Miranda- Ooh love the sexiness of this photo. This task definitely be could interpreted this way in what’s an acceptable portrayal of it. The wardrobe isn’t my favorite so that brings the photo down a little but I do like what’s going on with the photo, not your best but not your worst.

Winnie- Yes girl work that photoshoot. This is basically what we want and you are turning it up right now. I love the position of the wardrobe, how you’re standing, the way your hair is fixed, the purse. Everything is coming out basically what’s required and it’s perfect. Well done

Simon- This is an interesting choice of color; orange. Every photo your face does speak something and I actually like that. It tells a story and i’m very intrigued by the story standing on your face in this photo. It’s very dark and that’s perfect for this round. Good job
