This series follows a group of adults that all grew up together in an orphanage. After a series of horrifying events, the group home was closed down and all of the children were placed into foster care. The series will rely on flashbacks to their pasts as children during their final year at the orphanage in 2000. The series present day is October 2020. All characters must have been between the ages of 5-13 during 2000 and thus will be between the ages of 25-33 in the present day.

The characters do not have much memory of their time there but they do have nightmares about the Chapel Hill manor itself. Although they’ve gone their separate ways they have all decided to accept the invite to come back in order to unearth their past.

General Bio: Susie is an accomplished cellist who both performs professionally and offers lessons to youths interested in honing their skills. Susie is a creature of habit and rarely deviates from her routine: practice, perform, practice, teach, practice. After Chapel Hill she never made it out of foster care and her cello was the only constant in her life. Unlike the majority of her peers, Susie remembers her time at Chapel Hill with terrifying clarity. She attempted to return once last year to face her demons but never made it past the front gate. Now, she sees Rocky's invite as a sort of sign that it is the right time to go back.

Upon the disbandment of the orphanage, Izzy quickly met her exit out of the foster care system once adopted into a large family at age 5. Growing up with an affinity for literature, she ultimately sought out becoming an elementary school teacher and wound up with a daughter of her own in the process. Turning to her family after the recent disappearance of her boyfriend, Izzy takes Rocky's invitation as a temporary detour from the stress of work and being a newly single mother.

General Bio: Theodore was orphaned at the age of four when his father murdered his mother and took his own life. Shortly after, with no family to go to, Theodore was sent to Chapel Hill where he spent a majority of his time keeping to himself or trying to befriend the older kids. In a way, he sort of found himself looking up to Rocky as an older brother. After chapel hill was closed down Theodore spend a little time in foster care before being adopted to a wealthy family at age 10 who gave him a good life. He slowly but surely tucked away all of his memories of chapel hill away in the back of his mind only occasionally opened by his dreams or rather nightmares.

General Bio: Penelope was one of those 'dropped off at birth' kinda orphans, basically grew up at Chapel Hill similar to Liam French's situation. She was an rambunctious child who had a tendency to get in trouble with the workers at Chapel Hill. She was just a hyperactive child who wanted to do what she wanted, no matter the cost. This landed her to spectate an occasional scandal or horror, which left scars in the back of her mind. During the rocky ending of Chapel Hill, a prosperous family adopted Penelope, leaving her the last person to ever be adopted from the orphanage. Penelope waved her friends and orphanage a goodbye for good, but it turns out Rocky's invitation sent her back to where it all started.

With the invitation to return to Chapel Hill, Chloe's husband has urged her to go, hoping the experience will inspire her to open up about her past to him. Chloe, however, is reluctant to leave her family and the perfect life she has built for herself. And, quite frankly, she's scared to go back to Chapel Hill, though she can't pinpoint why exactly.

But be it fear or something else, she seldom allows these thoughts to linger for if she dwells for too long something deep within her core urges her not to entertain the thoughts for a moment longer. Though never adopted out of Chapel Hill, she managed to land on her feet when the time came for her to leave, deciding to work for the very same child welfare system that allowed such institutions as Chapel Hill to exist as a sanctuary for lost children. When her invitation to Chapel Hill arrived, Lillian felt as though she was submerged in cold water. Despite her better judgement she's allowing herself to be drawn back in like a moth to the flame.
