There was once was a newborn, her skin was rock hard and translucently beautiful but as she aged her “skin” grew dark and only small thin pieces of her skin remain the beautiful color that she once fully was,  She knows that eventually her whole body will just be one dark shade that will repulse everyone. The gem in her head, cassiterite has caused this once beautiful girl to turn into this now dark shell of a girl. Her name is Cassiterita.

However there is a way for Cassiterita to make new beautiful crystals, she has to cry. These tears as they droop down her face turn into the beautiful crystals she loves, however these crystals soon break off. These thin teardrop crystals she uses as weapons at anyone who looks down on her for her looks. She throws these tear crystals like darts and let me tell you, she never misses and maybe, just maybe, you will feel the pain that Cassiterita feels everyday.

Before I even begin with my presentation, Heather Slothwood, you can kiss my ass for thinking you can give me a boring color and get away with it. Much like Kandi, I stay prayed up and I also fly above. Now catch THAT.

Once a bright and pure gem that gleamed pearly white with iridescent accents, a freak accident using her powers, protecting a young, innocent gem leaves her blind. Ananda once reflected the intensity and color of the world around her. Now that she's blind, that color has become very dim.

Ananda sees through sending a high pitched pulse through her gem which bounces off of the objects around her. Her hair constantly blends through different colors and shimmers. Since it has been thousands of years since she's seen color, these once neon colors have faded considerably. Jaded by her new reality, Ananda seeks out other gems through her pulses and blasts them with her Kaleidobeam (the white hot, shimmery ability that blinded her in the first place) immediately.

She fights physically with 3 sheets of sharp, malleable, reflective. coppery metal that also serve as shields and mirrors to enhance her Kaleidobeams. Once a benevolent and bright soul, Ananda also had healing abilities, due to the nature of her gem. However, now with all of the hate in her heart she can heal only herself by sucking all of the color out of other Crystal Gems. As she feels the memories of her colors start to fade, she seeks out a Gem of the color she is beginning to forget in an attempt to steal their hue, harming them greatly in the process.

Ananda is feared by many and a generous bounty has been placed on her head. She does not hide as it is known she lives in a deep cavern littered with large reflective crystals. As assumed none have lived to tell the story of encountering this bitter Gem.

Bloodstone, or Blood Jasper as she was known in her online community, was a top ranking Gem in the war. Using her shroud of invisibility (suck my ass JK Rowling) she crept into her enemies lines and did some things that Steven Universe's PG rating won't allow me to repeat.

Though her strength lied in her transperency, in her visible state she LOVED to be loud and extravagant... to a fault. Her headpiece only could protect the right side of her face, and after a shot to the eye, she had no choice but to replace it with a faux bloodstone implant, for the prosthetic aesthetic.

Do y'all know that Crystal Gems are born as crystals. They're not from any sort of hereditary line or human in anyway. Their bodies are just human manifestations of their crystals.

Upon her birth, Emera was an emerald who was dull in shine and ill-shaped as compared to other gems. However, the envy that burned inside of Emera remained throughout her life. From a young age, Emera created a false identity of herself that matched the beauty she saw in the world around her.

As time passed, Emera grew more radiant and became more attractive. Emera began to grow into the beautiful figure she imagined as a child. However, there were still other gems that became more beautiful as well. Emera began to use the power and shine of other emeralds to turn other gems more beautiful than her into a dull, green stone that Emera resembled in her youth.

Using the emerald on her headpiece, she became able to turn other beautiful gems into stone through the glow in her eyes. Emera set out on her own mission to become the most beautiful gem in the world.

Years and years ago after the rebellion against the Gem Homeworld, Sunstone's grandmother, a good friend of Rose Quartz was gravely injured, and used her dying energy to birth Sunstone's mother.

After the rebellion, they returned to their homeworld of vast deserts and jungles. Mother Sunstone was an infant, so she was escorted home by Grandmother Sunstone's closest ally, Amber.

Years past and Mother Sunstone created one of the most successful dynasties of all time. Giant temples were built, hidden treasures were discovered, and the population of her people was through the roof. Sunstone was the Princess to Mother Sunstone's queen, and they ruled over the kingdom for years. Until something strange happened.

Mother Sunstone was aging, and it was happening very fast. It was unknown to anyone, even Amber, that Grandmother Sunstone was in a relationship with a human during the time she gave birth to Mother Sunstone. This made Mother Sunstone mortal, and susceptible to death by old age.

The people realized this and quickly rebelled against the queen, as they saw her unfit to rule over them. They waited until night, and kidnapped Mother Sunstone from her bedroom, and buried her in the sand, throwing stones at her until she was no more. Mother Sunstone was helpless, seeing as the sun gems can't use their powers when there's no sun.

Amber was chosen as their new queen, and Sunstone, using her time warping abilities, was able to make it out of the desert kingdom, but was not able to save her mother from death.

Sunstone hasn't been seen or heard from by other gems or her people since, but she's done well for herself. She rules over a small group of bandits, who call themselves the Sun Squad. They are trained ninja's, who dress in colors that match the sands of the desert so you can't see them coming. They are known for their precision strikes with the shuriken, and for their ability to take out an enemy without making a single peep. Sunstone plans on using these ninja's to one day take back her kingdom, and keep her people in line so there's never a rebellion under her rule ever again.

Sunstone, referred to many by "Sun" is a very intense gem. Whether she's out on an adventure, or bossing around the Sun Squad in her hidden temple, her inner fire is always burning strong. Although a bit bossy, nothing would exist of the Sun Squad if it wasn't for her. She's quite the leader. A bit over the top with her star spangled personality, she manages to keep a smile on her face despite all that's happened to her, and is very warm to those who treat her with respect. She may have a bit of a temper, and still bears a few grudges, but she's just trying to do what's right for her before her fire dies out, just like her mother.

Sun is able to manipulate heat waves, whether she wants to start a fire or stop one, she's the master of flames and no one else has powers like her, not even her mother. She fights with two rings of light, one that is able to manipulate time and change colors of objects and people, and one that slices and burns through her enemies. When these rings are out, they also make her ability to manipulate heat waves even stronger. Her source of power comes from the gem on her heart, which sucks in all of the light and heat it can to make her as powerful as she is.

Pyrite AKA Fool’s Gold
Personality: Pyrite longs for relationships with others, she has a need to feel wanted and admired by those around her. She is also a perfectionist, constantly struggling to be her own vision of what is perfect. She tends to be very naïve and very trusting of what people say to her, and will usually not use her powers to break that trust and see people’s true intentions.

When Pyrite was created all the people around her loved and worshipped her, they believed she was a sign of wealth and prosperity since they all believed she was made of gold. Soon after her arrival the country she loved so much turned dark. They all wanted to use her to bring them wealth and prosperity, and none of them wanted to share it. Pyrite had no choice but to flee from her homeland to avoid being captured and used selfishly for other’s gain.

After taking shelter in a cave, Pyrite learned the horrible truth after seeing her reflection in a pool of water. She was not gold at all, she was something different. That is when she discovered that she had the power to create illusions and read people’s minds. Pyrite’s need to be loved, mixed with her subconsciously reading the hopes and dreams of her home land made her become the thing they all wanted the most, wealth.

The Woman in Blue Moonstone, Exodus

Personality: Exodus always pined to fly into the depths of the sky, to be free from the confines of the earth, to finally see the world. However... she could not. Instead of graced with wings, Exodus was graced with a large moonstone upon her head and many others sparkling along her body. Exodus hated them.

At (birth) manifestation into a human, Exodus's moonstone emitted a powerful aura. However, when she developed, the aura weakened as her anger strengthened. What Exodus did not realize was she was killing her gemstone. What Exodus did not realize was her gemstone was actually her lifeline. What Exodus did not realize was she was executing herself.

When Exodus had nearly depleted her stone and fell gravely ill, she reflected upon her life. She was beautiful, she was sparkly, she was herself. Ultimately... she was happy. It was then that the gemstone began to regain power and healed Exodus. Bewildered at first, she finally realized she thrived off vanity and pride.

After years, Exodus soon became extremely narcissistic. Her aura kept growing and growing until Exodus realized she could conjurer physical manifestations of her gem's aura from the gem itself. This was her weapon. With the ability to blast all it touched, the aura gifted her wings to be a warrior. Despite never gaining the power of flight, Exodus gained a new one; one that allowed her to soar into the battlefield.
