04) dexter in the newsagent - ohhhh now dexter will forever be a serve to me idgaf. i never heard this before i need to get into their stuff more bc i adore everything. this was quite chilled and cutesy. i don't think its my fav I've heard from them but its still v solid. don't think its as awe-inspiring as other songs I've heard but i do have a lidl soft spot for it!

06) The Comet Is Coming - the production on this is vvvvverryyyy interesting just elevated this to another level rightttt??? the way it just accumulates into something monumental like im kind of transfixed on this. i kind of wish there was some sort of vocals to really make this into the best song of the year but im still rly enjoying this on my first listen.

07) Hayden James & Icona Pop - oh icona pop icons if we're being honest. its so painfully generic but sometimes i can genuinely forgive it if its a nice lidl head bopper and this is just that. nothing revolutionary but i don't always want my pop music to be that. just a nice tune that u can wind ur hips to and this is what that's for.

08) James Arthur - ohhhhh not HIMMMMM..... this was so SCARYYY. we've moved past the need for this like be FRRRRRR. :L

09) Holly Humberstone - on paper this week IS my week... that being said i rly dont check for holly like it used to :/ there was a time i was licking the poo from her little arse but these days i find her a bit boring i cant lie. im just so glad i went to see her last year bc if i went this year id not know a single song :S but listening to this a few times it is growing on me like its not BAD. i just think i wanted her to do something different like its the same old shitee. i just thought she'd have elevated her music just a TAD. but i feel like this could be any of her last singles shes released. but yeah like i said its fine its okay. its quintessentially her and i guess im just a bit bored of the same sound at this point.... take my holly humbintator card away girls!!!!

10) meadows - ohhh i liked this i think. its not rly demanding my attention like i want it to though. it does get there at points but i rly think im gonna forget it after 5 minutes which is a shame bc it does have potential. i think this week is just TOOOOOO good so i feel like unfortunately this one might get lost in my shuffle this week, but i did enjoy it.

11) Valentine Dalla - ohhh i always thought ms valentine was so funnnnn.. and honestly this is. like its not objectively good but its not trying to be i dont think. its just fun. very drag race girlie song isn't it..... well good for her..

12) FLO - aweeee flo...... i mean come awn... the vocals are always going to devourrrrrr.. this is not the type of sound i want from them but its still so stellar. just more chilled and cutesy. def not my fav from them but its still sooooo prettiiii i cant complain. my girlies 4ever<3

13) Winona Oak - is this a safe space?? probably not. but this is lowkey my f*v song from her O_o.. like im sorry i remember dying to send this tsc bc i was so obsessed but saw the hate for her and silently decided against it. bit IDGAF I LOVE THIS... and im gonna say it this eats "let me know" i think.. actually it probably doesn't but i ENJOY IT.. i cant explain why but i DO... its GOOD.. i will simply ignore the hate for this song this week my queenie doesn't deserve.

14) Kitty Brucknell - kitty is my mova monster forever i think.. i will never forget the weekly entertainment she provided me with in x factor so for that alone i can never complain abt anything she puts out... this song is.. well.. let me clamp my tongue and just say its... fun !!! :)

21) Rachel Chinouriri - oh ms rachellllll... she will forever be my queenie but similarly to holly i didn't fully love this song like i did with every other single shes literally ever released but this one took a bit longer. it was a different sound so i kind of love her for that. kind of still love it bc its rachel but wasn't completely obsessed with it like it was with "all i ever asked" or "im not perfect" but honestly its still good! visually beautiful too mwahhhh <3

22) PinkPantheress - ohhh as soon as her presale tickets went up on tuesday i NABBED THEM UP SO FAST bc of songs like this mwahhh.. just.. SO beautiful.. this and mosquito kind of best releases of the year if we're being honest.. yeahhh.. YEAH.... im in awe but when am i not at her... she is literally turning into my favourite artist of all time im completely obsesseddddd :P

13) Winona Oak - Natepresnell comes back to TSC and Winona Oak magically spawns yeah no this isnt a coincidence. i like her voice here but this style of pop just doesn’t land with me unless Foxes is singing but the production couldn’t save anyone here

19) Nabihah Iqbal - gorg production/voice, the chorus of this song really captivated me. i do find the verses to be a little boring and found myself just waiting for the chorus to come back, but i enjoyed this overall, last minute or so tied it together very well imo

05) sad alex - o cute but it's catchy like the fact that it incorporates chants girls say around the playground to mess with boys is funny but works for the song
06) The Comet Is Coming - I'm fine with instrumental, I like the sax sound but it feels out of place here and that all these elements don't really mix together well. They need to workshop this lol
07) Hayden James & Icona Pop - for icona pop this is not nearly as annoying as they are capable of so for this I guess it's a win
08) James Arthur - doesn't sound as impassioned as you'd think, like can he do a grander song maybe? It was too quiet for me. With his voice if he goes quiet he should go for a more haunting vibe

10) mmeadows - now for that autumn soft voiced girl this song at least takes me somewhere…? It's a little jaded, but also some weird whimsical feeling too, and her voice compliments the song, and we have some like trumpets chiming in, it all works
11) Valentine Dalla - what an IMVU bop! At least it keeps me awake lol and the random part 2 doesn't add anything it needs but I was never bored
12) FLO - well I loved how their debut brought back 2000s r&b sound, and with this song I feel like it's verging on Xtina's "What a girl wants" so at least it's 2000s. However I think the girls can deliver something stronger than this. It's not bad but that's where I'm at
13) Winona Oak - when winona oak brings more energy than icona pop LOL I love this
14) Kitty Brucknell - she's shouting like Chandelier Sia, sometimes it works, other times it's just funny… I'll take it why not

02) Gathering of Strangers - I came into this with low expectations because my instagram right now is flooded with stuff along the lines of ‘please react to this post so that this boy band can finally chase their dreams’ and I feel like these guys fit this profile so well. I wanted to hate them BUT it’s a vibey song and I do like it
03) Fanera - It had such a good build up but it kinda lost me, it became very generic edm
04) dexter in the newsagent - I would’ve liked this more if it went somewhere
05) sad alex - If I struggle to point stuff this week I could see this being in contention for my low points
06) The Comet Is Coming - I thought this was just an annoyingly long intro for a while but honestly it’s not bad overall. The visuals go with it quite well too
