Well Bluestar once sent in a song the host was going to enter and the host decided to keep it.

Bluestar then sent in another song and that one won. :p

That was when Indie ruled TSC :p

to TSC hosts: random one, but what happens if somebody sends a song that you were intending on using that week - do you let them have it, it keep it for yourself?

Ran into this exact scenario this contest. Smi sent AURORA when I wanted to use her. I told myself if someone submitted her in the rush of the submission then I would let them have it, but if they didn't then I would claim it. He sent her within the first ten minutes so I let him keep it.
