This Head of Household competition is called “King Game”, and here’s how it works.
In this competition, each player will take the role of “king” in turn, dividing their fellow players into two groups to distribute points.
A starting KING is elected by the contestants in a 10-minute vote via TENGAGED MAIL (or until all votes are received). Chatzy breaks ties. After each round, the outgoing King chooses the next person to assume the throne, with each player assuming the King role once.
Before the first round, players get 3 minutes to secretly pick either a THUMB or an INDEX finger. Their choice remains a secret, but lasts for TWO rounds, through TWO King reigns, as players will pick new fingers BEFORE every ODD numbered round.
Once all finger choices are made, the King will have 5 minutes to assign each player (including themselves at the end) to either:
- Area A
- Area B
Each area must have at least two people in it, but beyond that can have any number of players.
Once everyone has been allocated an Area by the King (including themselves), those with the *MINORITY* finger choice in EACH AREA score 1 point each. No points are scored if there is an even finger choice split in an area, or if everyone in one area chose the same finger.
It will be revealed who received points in each round, but it will not be publicly revealed what their individual finger choices are. Players must infer this from the results of the first round in each two-round finger set.
After all players have each been King, the player with the most points becomes the new HEAD of HOUSEHOLD.
In the event of a tie there will be a run-off tiebreaker round, with the king being randomly selected.
