This Head of Household competition is called “Gauntlet”, and here’s how it works.
In this competition, each player will take it in turns to be the defender, whilst all other players will be attackers.
On my go, the defender will attempt to defend themselves by simply posting *defends self* as many times as they can in separate posts.
The attackers aim to stop the defender by posting *runs to sword*, *picks up sword* and then *swings sword* all in separate posts. They only need to do this once, but MUST post in THAT ORDER. When 3 attackers have posted their sequence, the defender is defeated.
The defender receives 1 point for each post they managed to get in before 3 attackers complete their sequence. However, an attacker can also gain a point, by being the person to strike the “killer blow” - as in, being 3rd player to complete the sequence with the *swings sword* post, effectively being the stop post the defender.
Here is your dilemma - waiting to be that 3rd player to finish your sequence may boost your score, but the defenders will score a point for every defence post they get in before they are ultimately stopped, so every second will count. Can you time it right?
Each player will get only 1 attempt in the role as the DEFENDER, and act as ATTACKER all other rounds. This means there will be lots of attackers, but it will only take 3 finished sequences to stop them.
The player with the most points after all players have had a go as the defender, becomes the new Head of Household.
