All his friends died.... except one who since then has been missing. He thinks the world is empty and only a few remain... he has no idea the mutated creatures are coming.
Why were you left behind?: After the crash was in a coma type stage for days... when he awoke... everyone was gone.

Bio: It was morning. When Joseph woke up from a long night of sleep, he discovered that his brother and parents were no longer there. This was unusual because they normally sat in the kitchen preparing for breakfast every morning. He knew something was wrong. He went outside to look for them and couldn't find them, though their car was parked in the driveway. As a matter of fact, he didn't see any neighbors. Not a living thing anywhere. Not even a bird could be seen in the sky. Joseph was alone, as mutated creatures waited to prey upon him.
Why were you left behind?: His family disappeared and he doesn't know what happened to him. Perhaps his family couldn't get into his room and wake him up in time to escape (but why would they leave their car?). Or perhaps whoever/whatever took his family decided to leave him behind for some reason. He just doesn't know why he was left behind.
