Welcome back! It’s time to find out who’s made the cut and who will simply be the dreaded “friend of the housewives”. And remember… at this point in the competition, if you’re not in the top, you’re in the bottom! So you better bring it every week.

✧ MAYA
Concept wise your housewife wasn’t really anything groundbreaking to me but the way you wrote this and the actual jokes themselves really sold this. In some ways it feels like some of the same tropes of comedy we’ve seen you use before but with the 20 comedy challenges we’ve had in a row, I can’t really blame someone for having a style of comedy if it’s still working! The way you organized this “script” and wrote it out really painted a clear picture of your character in my head, like I could hear Jennifer Coolidge’s voice narrating through the screen. Your runway is fun and really captures the campy opulence of Dynasty!

I totally agree with Maya on every account. Actually, that is false. I am not in love with your runway. It doesn’t read 80’s Dynasty to me, instead more of a 1960s showgirl or a Mrs. Peacock costume  – somehow more than Ebony’s peacock runway does? It’s fun but not what I would opt for.

✧ ANDREW
Your challenge was a fun read. As per usual it was your more subtle, out-of-left-field jokes that really carried the whole thing. I think you have a talent of mixing a variety of humor styles to really cast a wider net, and no I will not elaborate. It wasn’t show stoppingly funny but I liked it! Your housewife look was fun, very Pearl as Roxanne with one eye on the prize and the other eye on the crown. Your runway however is super polished, conceptually strong and really well put together. Call me!

I don’t really think this was all that bad, it was just a little expected and safe for me on all fronts. I felt like both your challenge and your runway were a little unmemorable -- when returning to the submissions to write I remembered the overall concept of your submission but no specific moments and nothing really got a reaction out of me, good or bad, which at this point in the competition you should be going big or going home (especially with a track record like yours!) Your runway, likewise, is serviceable and generally pretty but I think everything being black makes it a little pedestrian on a runway that should give you leeway to flirt with the gaudiest and tackiest colors and textures -- even just a little shine or sparkle to the black could have made this a little more interesting.

I was kinda Zzz during your audition. It didn’t feel like anything new or fresh or funny, which is a shame because you’re usually one of the most hilarious in the competition. This challenge almost calls for people to fall into a trope, so I wish you had thought of a more obscure, distinct character because it would’ve help set you apart. As for your runway, it’s reading more… The Craft goes to the races more than Dynasty. I would’ve liked to have seen this outfit in a bright jewel tone paired with some bright makeup – it feels a little bit reserved for such a garish theme.

I hate to say it but I didn’t love your challenge. First of all, your character definitely reads more as a single 20-something just trying to figure out #life with nothing other than her parents’ trust funds, not a rich housewife IMO. The pyramid scheme jokes were kind of boring to me, and nothing else really was able to bring you back to life for me. Your runway is pretty. I guess my critique would be that it appears boring at face value. If I squint enough and look closely I see the detail on your dress, but it’s hard to make it out on the entirely black fabric.
