you can, but I think if you try that the person who found it might complain, I know I saw an instance or two of that last year.
Last year I found an egg on someone who had me filtered (no idea why, I don't even know them, I think they just filtered design spammers) but I made a blog about how I found one I couldn't claim and koolness took pity on me and asked me where and commented himself that I claimed it.
