WOW @ the Amazing Race finale

imageI think that TARUS really has perfected the new task-based streamlined seasons because WOW those last two legs were SO GOOD. My biggest overall criticisms of this season was probably that the season lacked MOMENTS but this season was honestly a bit of a slow burn that ramped up and up in tension. That last task in particular was crazy hard and seemed so intense.

I can say after watching I LOVE each team in the final. Going into it Jess and Cody were my least fave out of the final three but theres just something so EPIC about them winning that makes the win soooo satisfying.

Weirdly enough I think all three teams were at there BEST in these last two legs which is something that doesnt really happen often.

-Henry and Evan's brand of bickering with Henry finally telling Evan to be quiet instead of going "ok ok" "yea yea =D" whenever Evan starts. (also L M A O @ HER "cardiovascularly i was exhausted" comment)
-Kristi and Jen individually showing EMOTION during their separate roadblock struggles during each leg respectively and transcending the "racebot" label that I slapped on them after the first few legs
-Jody DOING THAT even when Cody sprained his ankle. Jess somewhat being the useless whore of the team until the last leg where she brought it out out of nowhere in one of the hardest finale tasks ever is something that I truly didnt expect.

For finale episodes that are very often boring/horribly planned, i am in AWE at the last two episodes and it definitely bumps the season a notch over the "somewhat above average" tier that I categorized it going into the funale

Hopefully the QUALITY of the season got them some new fans and when the next season airs not against the olympics they can keep the momentum up ;_;

jinxh normally i would agree but even with a season almost full of recruits and gimmick "competitive" teams the cast was quite strong so I have faith in them to do whatever the hell they want tbh
