the meaning of a charity

I thought charities are for giving to worthy causes or people in need. In case of tengaged charities are for giving to all players a chance to double theirs bets. Why on hell someone may call charuty a frookies? The purpose is not to celebrate that you have played 100 200 or even 1000 games. The milestone games are the occasion, the purpose is to double your bets
