Another thing I have come across in this game. How many people say the words "people told me", and then when you ask who is "people" you just get more responses that are like "ya know, it's just what people are saying." It's fascinating yet also completely frustrating how almost everyone in these games is trained to be this way. like spill the tea sis are we building bridges here or just dickin around

I don't think it's such a big problem, given that Stars is a game where trust is almost non-existent. There is no way to know who is really on your side, since the game asks you to be selfish and prioritize yourself. Also, in my experience, if you talk too much, the next day you are in the block.
