I’m going through the 2010s and choosing one horror film from each year that I have not seen!
This is a fun way to watch new movies that I’ve always wanted to but either never had the time, or forgot about them.
Next up is 2012!
This year has some gems. The Lords of Salem, The Cabin in the Woods, and The Bay are all favourites of mine. 2012 also has the release of Prometheus-which although controversial, is one of my favourite films.
I was surprised that I had seen so many 2012 horror movies, but I was able to find a few that I skipped over.
I watched Dark Shadows this week. And oh boy…As much as I want to say I’m the biggest Tim burton admirer, I can’t not address a few gaps in my praise. There are certain years and films that don’t quite present themselves as uniquely Tim burton?
Dark Shadows is one of these films. What could be made in the same vein as Sleepy Hollow, is instead an uninspired mess of Vampire family drama.
This was terrible.
