My First Survivor!

Jan 30, 2010 by ktberio
imageWow! What an experience! I joined tengaged because I love Survivor, and I joined a Survivor game as soon as I earned Orange.  My first tribe was excellent – we only lost two members, and I met some fantastic allies.  The next tribe was confusing, because I didn’t understand why we didn’t vote out the two new members!  I almost succeeded in creating a blindside, but one person didn’t read his mail on time, and the plan failed!  But the two new members later proved to be fierce competitors and genuinely friendly people.  On the third tribe, one of my original allies was voted out early.  I thought I was doomed!  I was angry, particularly because we kept one player who (although he scored well) always ate and drank, never hunted or collected water, and never socialized with the tribe. (Or at least he never socialized with me!)  I was certain I was the next to go, but we won the final challenge and I was saved!  The next tribe was split 5-5, but my former tribe worked hard and ensured our survival.  I started to rebuild relationships and become closer to my alliance.  Tribe number 5 was interesting – I started a new job in real life, we had a tribemate eat all the supplies and quit, and I learned a thing or two about gender.  But somehow I made it to the next tribe!  The 6th tribe was almost perfect.  We only lost one challenge, and I met some great new people.
The thing that ruined that tribe is named Uskyld.
Since he is vindictive, he decided to suicide in order to eliminate a player who had almost earned a spot in the Survivor Hall of Fame.  Some people call this “strategy” but I disagree. “Strategy” is when you take somebody out of the game because it keeps you in the game longer.  To take somebody out of the game for spite with no benefits for yourself is called “being a coward” (although I prefer the Italian word: coglione).  In the following tribe, we started off very strong.  Then my secret nemesis (he who never socialized with me) did the challenge even though enough other people already had done it, and we voted him out.  We only lost two more, and we moved on, feeling stronger than ever.  Tribe 8 began 7/3, and we voted out two of the three.  But the third was so nice, we kept her!  Sadly two more people were voted out, including one person that I thought was ferocious and loyal, for reasons I still don’t totally understand.  The ninth Tribe was a battle.  We opposed an incredibly strong tribe, and their scores destroyed us nearly every time.  We had the habit of being the stronger tribe for a long time, but, like Rome, all great things must eventually fall.  Our tribe became smaller and smaller.  We voted out six people – more than I had ever voted out in a single tribe!  And when we were down to four, it was finally my turn to go.
It was a fantastic journey, and I will probably start one again soon, but now I will take a small Tengaged vacation.  Thank you everyone who made my journey fun, especially the following: Kmyster5610, maryselove, silvers, CrazyOne, Blustar, Maggie, impax21, 0o_katie, Phenomanimal, AlanaDee, vatcheabs, and AntNikiaBonnie!  See you soon, and good luck!

P.S. Don't you love 4th place? A place that I can share with Matty Whitmore is a good place :)
