Old Sayings for Survivor Cagayan Contestants

May 24, 2014 by ivanshiu
Survivor Cagayan was one of the best seasons I've ever watched, and throughout the season I thought of old sayings that corresponded with the contestants themselves.

David: "Bad gains are true losses" (Ben Franklin)

Garrett: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" (Chaucer)

Brice: "If you can't beat them, join them (in the situation of the Beauty tribe playing games)" (James E. Watson)

J'Tia: "Let the punishment fit the crime" (W.S. Gilbert)

Cliff: "Go big or go home" (unknown commercial)

Lindsey: "Don't cry over spilt milk" (James Howell)

Alexis: "A wise man knows much, but says little. A fool knows little, but says far too much." (old proverb, quoted from Shii Ann- Survivor Thailand)

Sarah: "Expect the unexpected" (Oscar Wilde)

Morgan: "You snooze, you lose" (unknown)

LJ: "You never give your enemy your own idol" (Russell Hantz- Heroes vs Villains)

Jeremiah: "When in doubt, do nothing" (George John Whyte-Melville)

Jefra: "It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt" (Mark Twain)

Tasha: "What good is winning ... challenges when you can't finish it?" (Laura Morett- Blood vs Water)

Trish: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names can never hurt me" (unknown)

Spencer: "Sometimes, it's too little, too late" (unknown)

Kass: "Beware of the person with two faces" (Dutch proverb)

Woo: "Be careful of what you wish for" (Goethe)

Tony: "Don't boast when you set out but only when you get there" (Russian proverb)

Tony definitely did the deed, well played to Tony.
