I Feel Somewhat Cheated :/ Jan 3, 2011
imageLast night I finished my third Castings game. In my first two games I came in 4th Place so you can imagine how determined I was to beat that; well I did, but I think I ended up getting the short straw, here's how it all went down:

Right from the start I formed an alliance with the first person (RandomEyes) and the third person (debwa666) that joined (I was the second to join). The three of us were all online and decided to work together; and that we did the entire game. Like my previous game this was meant to be another 'quickie' but that never happened. kokoszek was the first to go, mainly because they were a threat. For the first time it seemed to be more important to take out threats over inactives and I found that interesting.

With every person that was eliminated; I was making sure I was nominating and evicting the same as debwa666 because RandomEyes had become slighly inactive and rather quiet. It was also around this time I formed a second alliance with LeshaniQua, a much more vocal person in the game. I thought it would be smart to work with her, but I realized both debwa666 and LeshaniQua wanted different people out at different times. It seemed LeshaniQua wanted threats gone while debwa666 wanted inactives out. At the end of the day I felt more loyal to debwa666, and it was lucky I did.

After four more boots, some threats some inactives, harmheijnen, Tayvi, vaggelis & lolzzaa, were given the boot, it was time to make a big move. I received information from Fear, an inactive and quiet player, that both VivaLaVogue and LeshaniQua were controlling this game, and that they were going to use me until they didn't need me anymore. LeshaniQua also wanted debwa666 gone. I couldn't let that happen. So one after the other they were nominated and evicted. It was a big move for me and for the remaning people in the game. I was quite proud of it and would probably call it my biggest move yet.

So now its down to 8 and suddenly I felt like the game waas starting to go my way, but because debwa666 was the only person I was really in contact with I never really knew how everyone else was nominating, yet I still was never nominated. Like LeshaniQua, I made another side alliance with YUKIisback who was also sharing some information with me, but it wasn't anything like the alliance I had with debwa666. rahrah was next, followed by dheivid, another two players I had no contact with. Then I had to do it again, betray another person I had an alliance with being YUKIisback, but I was informed they weren't coming back so didn't feel so bad about that one.

Now its down to the Final 5; I'm so close to making the Top 4 again; but I want to make it to the Final 3 and have a shot at winning, and I knew the only way to do this was get into the finals with less active players (and it just so happens there were 2 left that hadn't even changed their pics from default yet). After mccully was evicted I planned to nominate and evict debwa666, my alliance. I would have felt so bad but I needed a win and was desperate at this point; but I never needed to do it because POV fell into Fear's hands. While he nominated me, he also nominated and then evicted debwa666.

So I've made the Final 3 now with two inactive players with default pics. It couldn't have worked out better. I found this out at around 11.30 at night so I went to sleep knowing that when I wake up I would have most likely won the game, but this didn't happen :/ While I slept both RandomEyes and Fear started taking and playing word games in the chat, making them seem much more active then they were the entire game. They used up around 6 pages of posts, and it's obvious that by doing this RandomEyes scored himslef a win while Fear came in second, leaving me in third place despite being more active than both of them the entire game.

So yes I do feel cheated, despite getting my highest placing with 3rd, but I just know I desevred 1st. Call me a sore loser if you like, but would you feel the same perhaps? Anyway bring on my next game, I need to beat 3rd place now ;)

imageSo I took a few days off after my last game, mainly so nobody here would spoil who won Survivor for me because I wasn't going to see the finale until a week after everyone else.

But now I'm back, just started in my third Castings game. Bring on the fun!

imageSo I just finished my second Castings game. And just like in my first game I have come in 4th Place once again.
I'm actually pretty pleased with 4th, just like I was the first time, considering this was a very different game from the first, and I felt the entire time I had no real solid alliance, yet I still managed to make it to the Final 4. So here's how it all went down:

This game started out as a 'quickie' as I mentioned in my last blog post, with everyone wanting to start and finish it pretty much within the hour seeing as everyone was online, but it never happened because of people logging out at the wrong times. I deciced to form an alliance with a few people straight away: jake1313, AustinRules & lonelypuppie were one alliance (we even went into a chatroom together to discuss nominations and evictions) and I also had somewhat of a sideline alliance with Soffian.

rileylewis was the first to go, mainly because he chose to log out at the wrong time and everyone was mad at him because of this. Felix_Tuxedo was next because I believe he was becoming inactive. firebid1030 followed as he was the guy that stopped the quick game to begin with, he posted dumb posts and because he had POV last round we couldn't kick him out then. When I noticed my alliance started to crumble when AustinRules became quite vocal and agressive, I decided to try another sideline alliance with Xx_Dophie_xX, but she never replied, became inactive, and was evicted after firebid1030.

So now its down to 11 and this is when my alliance started to fall apart. Because AustinRules was so vocal he was, of course, evicted. It didn't seem like lonelypuppie or jake1313 were that interested in working with me still, however we still shared nominations, etc. At this time I was also still working with Soffian, but because he was also very quiet it was hard to know if he was really with me or not. I knew that soon enough I would be evicted. I didn't really mind because I was looking forward to playing a new game, however, this didn't happen.

So now its down to 10. Black_Dragon & Quentin were the next to go. 2 people that had no real major role in the game and were rather inactive. I thought I might go before them, but I didn't. lonelypuppie was next, who was in my crumbling alliance, so this was when I knew I was in real trouble, but I did win POV 4 times and they always seemed to be at the right times too :P

The final few days all happened within about 20 mins because everyone was online. Cute & ToPdOg were next, both of who I never spoke too and who I thought were in a strong alliance with but I was obviously wrong. Now its down to 5. Suddenly I feel like I can win this. jake1313, Soffian and I are working closely together and I feel we can go to the Final 3, but something will stop me from ultimetley winning, and his name is jake1313.

What can I say about jake1313. He's one of those members that will post a shitload of messages so if they make it to the finals they have been the most active and will win. I knew I couldn't let this happen, so I turned on him. I've never backstabbed someone before, but it needed to be done. I knew that I might follow (which I did) but at the end of the day it was probably worth it. He even messeged me afterwards with "u backstabber.." but hey, can you blame him?

So now I'm in the Final 4, and I'm stoaked! I made the Final 4 in my previous game and now I want to go that one step further and make the Final 3, but it didn't happen as I was then evicted. It seems Soffian, who I was in an alliance with, also had an alliance with astone929, and I only assume they were working with Lilvin31 too, which meant I was a goner. Disappointed, yes, but at the end of the day it seems Soffian stayed true to what seems to be his original alliance, so I can't be mad at him for that.

The Final 3 are now battling it out to see who will win. I'm thinking Soffian, and I hope so too :) Good luck man. It's been a great game, and I quite enjoyed it. 4th Place ain't too bad so I can't complain. Bring on the next game I say!

PS: Yes I know its another 'chimp' facepalm photo; but I can't help it they are so damn amusing :P

My First Attempt At A Quick Casting Dec 16, 2010
imageSo today I joined a castings that was filling up quickly, with everyone stating they wanted a quick castings. Once 15 people had joined it appeared everyone was online so the game was good to go and could have finished as quickly as it started!
However, this was not the case :/ All but one person (firebid1030) nominated, which meant we needed to wait around for them to come back and nominate. By the time they actually did others had already left. So this game won't be over quickly, and it's left many people rather irritated.
So that's my first experience with a failed quick castings ;)

My First Placing: 4th! Dec 16, 2010
imageSo today I finished my very first Castings game. I ended up coming in 4th out of 15 competitors which I am quite pleased about. Yes I wanted to win but at the end of the day I am happy to of made it to the Final 4, and to be voted out as a threat is only a compliment to me. So let me give you a little run down on the game and how it played out over the past couple of days:

I formed an alliance with two people on Day 1, and all three of us made the Final 3, with one of them being the eventual winner. This alliance we had worked very well together and was definitley the main reason why we all made it so far. I also had smaller alliances along the way, but none that lasted the distance.

The first to go was Matthew09. Why he was nominated and evicted is still kind of a mystery to me, but somebody always needs to go first, and from what I can remember it was because he was an experienced player and obviously a threat. The next three boots (hersheysbar45, sexyass & bigbrowneyes) were all nominated and evicted for the same reasons; being inactive. Nobody wants to play the game with people that are hardly there and that's why they were all gone. It was almost like nobody really needed to do anything strategic in the first few days because of players like that.

The next 4 boots (SashaBaby2010, Meesha, Jill17 & MintCokeify) were all booted because of one person; Jill17. She brought drama to the game and in the end it ended up being the reason she was eliminated, along with the three people that were associated with her in one way or another. She faked screenshots, and even called me out at one stage saying I had told her things that were total lies. Because of all her crazy antics it pulled the attention away from me and my alliance and instead it got her out, and three others that may or may have not been in an alliance with her.

So now its down to 7; and this is when we really started to play hard. My alliance stayed strong and took out ATRAP117 who I believe some considered a threat because they were rather active. EpicZucchini, someone that I spoke to pretty much every nomination and shared a lot of information with, was the next to go, and it was a hard boot for me because I was good friends with him, but my alliance as well as me saw him as a threat also, plus we didn't want him to get POV again.

Now it's down to 5. etabaka followed EpicZucchini mainly because they were on the outs, but I have a feeling had I not had POV it might have been me going instead. So without POV I was nominated, and eventually evicted, and at the time I was shocked because it was my close alliance member, HelenCoops, that had the deciding vote, but I'm flattered because she knew I would be the main threat to her in the end and not Sparticus142 (who came in 3rd) or dragonberry (who came in 2nd).

It was a GREAT game and I really enjoyed it :) I can't wait until my next Castings game and to get ready to do it all over again!

PS: I hope the people that played this game with me will read and comment. If I have any details wrong do let me know ;)

Oh The Drama ;) Dec 13, 2010
imageSo I've been playing 'Castings' for a few days now, and as I expected the drama has begun. Luckily it hasn't involved me, but the people I am playing with.
It does make me think though the game wouldn't exactly be much fun if there wasn't a little drama involved.
Its been rather amusing to read (most of it happened while I was at work) but at the end of the day its someone's word against someone else's word and its so hard to know who to trust.
But that's the fun of it I guess. I'm loving every minute of this game, and I can see how its become so darn addicting. Bring it on I say, I can't wait to see what happens ;)
