When You think of castles, you think of the mid-evil times where everything is pretty much the word "barbaric" in a nutshell, but you history lessons of King Arthur will be killed by this old but very popular game that will will make hang on the edged of your seat will busting your gut at the same time.
This funny game made by The Behemoth (Alien Hominid HD,'COMING SOON' BattleBlock Theater) ,witch is the collaborative work of Tom Fulp & Dan Paladin, who are also known for there work on Newgrounds. If you seen there sirese, Crashing Castles, you know what to expect, humor, action, and lots of blood! (Don't worry, there's a button to turn off the blood)
Onto the gameplay, the story is about where you and up to three friends are chosen by the king to save his four HOT daughters, who are kidnapped and sold to thieves around the kingdom. This game is a mixture of The Simpsons Arcade and several RPG elements, how this works that you can upgrade 4 things, agility, strength, magic, and defense. So if you like anything like that, this is a great game to play.
The game play is kinda boring, You do unlock combos when you level up, and you can also find weapons to help with your stats, and also you can find animals orbs that will help in from attacking enemies to help slowly regenerate health, but its just pushing buttons, in a nutshell.
Even thought the gameplay is boring, the levels are not remakes of others. There're all nice, unique, and creatively amusing in there own way. Plus the idea of the areas are nicely done, and this goes into the boss battles. They have there own unique way of fighting and weaknesses. There are also MANY, and I mean MANY secrets that are cool and awesome, and some funny references from places like newgrounds, and one that is...really weird.Just don't ask.
Also there are several multiplayer options, online and offline. There are three things that you can do: You can play the game with 3 friends, battle them in arena mode, and have a eat off in 'All you can quaff'. I think four players are the perfect idea for this game.
So, in a nutshell, this game cost 1200 MS points for the xbox, and $15 for PSN. And I say this game is worth every penny. The game is cartoony, funny, and enough action for the low-average fighting game lover.
