He alienated people from his group for very wild reasons (Andrea was apart of the main group, then they abandoned her at the farm and when she ended up being alive they didn’t take her back in, showing their disregard for someone who was integral to the group. When Michonne first showed up, he did not allow her in the group and kept her at arms length, she ended up being the one to keep Judith alive by bringing food. Didn’t give her a chance when he had no reason not to. Exiled Carol when she was looking out for the greater good of the group, he’s lucky that exiling her ended up being a good thing bc she was able to save the whole group) Carol was wild in the moment for what she did, but by season 11 realize she was the only one playing smart.
He also steals established communities making him no better than any other villain to ever be on the show. He also gets credit for keeping said communities together when he didn’t even create said communities.
Tested his luck with Negan several times, causing a war that resulted in innocent lives lost across numerous communities.
I could go on but he’s rly just awful. He has a handful of redeeming moments but yeesh.
