Welcome to Episode 1 of Xryis's Music Contest Season 2.
I want to start off by saying you guys did not come to play. This group of submission had so many standouts. A few of this songs would have won if they weren't competing against each other. Today's critiques will go as followed: I will share the Verdict of each judge one by one.6 of you will face off in the Gala. The 3 tops will battle for power and the win and the 3 bottoms will battle for their lives in this game. Before we get started I would like to introduce the judges who will go by aliases.
Indra: Music enthusiast who loves pop, country, and R&B.
Hades: Music lover who loves all music but mostly rock and folk.
Then theres me who enjoys all of the above plus rap and hip-hop.

Top: VanitySmurf "Hey" by Lauren Spencer Smith 🅷🅴🅰🆅🅴🅽
This was my favorite song of the round! I just love her voice and the way that it’s so powerful compared to the simple music behind it. A beautiful song!
Bottom: Thirteen "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?" by Diamanda 🅷🅴🅻🅻
I can’t lie this was torture to me. Like I basically would rather be deaf before ever having to listen to this again. And it was 5 minutes??? This seriously seemed like a troll song to me. no thank you
Standouts: #connorthomson "Like A Prayer" by Madonna
This is probably my favorite Madonna song. I love the church background music vibe mixed with her strong vocal performance. While it isn’t a new song by any means, it holds it own compared to the rest of the competition and it definitely is deserving of a top spot. thank you
#konohavillage1 "Honeywheat" by VanJess
Honestly, this was so pretty. I loved their voices together! It’s alittle slower than what I usually listen to, but i have to give it to the vocals here, which truly shine! thank you
Low: #icyz "Big God" by Florence + The Machine
Oh I do love her voice, but this song really fell flat for me. The best part of the song was the music video which really made me forget about the mediocre song.
thank you
#niceboy_ed "Mujer Amante" - Rata Blanca
I’ve gotta be honest. Long songs like this bore me. After 3 minutes I was more than ready for this song to be over, and it still had 3 minutes left. Vocals were good, it sounded like an 80s rock band, which is fun. Just the song was way too long for me. thank you

Top: icyz "Big God" by Florence + The Machine 🅷🅴🅰🆅🅴🅽
Florence WOOW, this fascinated me in every aspect: musically, it is a proposal
original and body language, choreography, concept I liked a lot...
Bottom: benp428 "Without You" - Quavo 🅷🅴🅻🅻
Musically I find it weak, both in voice and melody, that made it difficult for me to see the sacred element here.

Top: LooseyLaduca "Exist for Love" - Aurora 🅷🅴🅰🆅🅴🅽
I absolutely loved this song. The imagery and lyricism in this song is beautiful and her voice is heavenly. I love how she story-tells in her music and her interpretation is divine.
Bottom: Cullenhi "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele 🅷🅴🅻🅻
ok this song isn’t bad I actually really like , but my god is overplayed . I mean I think we didn’t have to listen to it because we all known it by heart. We can more original submission moving forward if you survive the Gala.
Standouts:
I want to get a shoutout to the following two users who were just a hair from getting my top vote: #Fromawindow, #niceboy_ed and #cheritasisdelicious . These submissions were amazing. You guys are def on the right track

The theme for the gala is: Sacrilege
Songs that denounce things someone may consider sacred, such as: religion, marriage, war, love, money etc. Songs that speak out against any of these things or any other things that come to mind. Please MAIL me your submissions.
I am working on the chart for this season.
Comments
The purpose was to have heavenly lyrics while sounding like Hell. I wanted it to be the space between both.
