So even though no one read my Bucket List blog, I promised a follow up, and here it is. I went to my audition for The Voice, and I waited five very long hours in lines. But it was really cool because I got to meet some pretty amazing people, and I consider them my friends! I got to sing, but unfortunately didn't make it. There's always next time though ;) So after the audition, I went to Pride with my boyfriend and a few other friends! It was the most amazing feeling being surrounded by accepting people. I couldn't think of a better way to spend an afternoon than supporting those who are sometimes persecuted for being who they are. So all in all, it was a good weekend :)
Everyone has a bucket list. Some of the things on that list are fairly attainable (ex. go to college, travel to Europe etc) and other things we have to work harder for (ex. become a doctor.) Well, I am finally getting the opportunity to cross an item off of my bucket list. Ever since the show The Voice came out years ago, I always said that I wanted to try out to be on it. This Saturday, that is coming true, I get to audition to be on The Voice! I'm so excited I can't wait! I'm slowly crossing major things off of my bucket list, and I couldn't be more excited and blessed to be living such a great life. Wish me luck on my audition, an update will be blogged about later when my audition is complete. Thanks for all your wonderful support!
I cannot even begin to tell you how amazing my summer has been so far. As the school year came to a close, and the stress of finals week was happening, I was already setting the best summer into motion. I was talking to a cute guy, and had gone on a few dates with him by my finals week. I had to study that week, obviously, but I still made time to chat and hang out a little. Also during this time, my friends and I had applied to move into a house off campus. So many wonderful things were happening and I couldn't believe it. Then, during finals week, I asked the guy I was seeing to be my boyfriend. He said yes, thankfully, and I was excited! I ended finals week by going out to celebrate! Now, looking back one month, I cannot believe all that has happened! I have been dating an amazing guy for over a month, I currently live with my two best friends, and my summer job is amazing and flexible. I'm able to do so many things that I could never have even imagined two or three months ago! Here's to having a great summer and more adventures in life! Always keep your eyes open and your head high, because you never know what you're missing when you're looking at the ground.
