To touch base to people, i'm not forcing an opinion on you, this is just my opinion, and in no way, shape, or form will I ever do this.
Recently, 7 gay boys killed themselves due to public humiliation, peer pressure, and homophobia. As a result, October 20th is a day where everyone is encouraged to wear purple as a memorial of these children.
Most people on facebook were probably invited to the group, and of everyone on my friends list (419) only 8 people were against wearing purple.
And that's fine.
But what's not fine is the comments people were leaving. the HOMOPHOBIC comments that people were leaving as a memorial for these poor people who took their lives because of people like them.
One comment said "This is bullshit, Oh look, there's a pot of gold at the end of that RAINBOW."
Now how this is to be taken is completly up to you. Like I said, I'm not forcing opinions. But it is creul.
So I'm asking nicely, even though I'm straight, to just please people the way you would like to be treated. No matter if they are gay or straight, black or white, or male or female. Everyone is the same. That's all that matters.
i saw that on the news and i cried a little! i was like why would people be so rude as to pushing someone into death or suicide!! i thought that was terrible...
