Religious question for u all

I am not a very religious person but is it true tht in the bible it says tht if u commit suicide then u will go to hell. My friend recently tried to commit suicide and my friend said tht if she ended up dead she would be in hell

It was invented to make you scared to not believe in Christianity

I mean even people who are religious should be able to figure out that hell is not a real thing
