Do you only get candy

from transferring pokemon and hatching eggs? I keep wanting to power up my pokemon but I never have enough candy.. And what is the difference between candy and stardust?
Literally, my best pokemon is a bloody Jynx! Hopefully my 10k egg will be something decent (prays for Lapras).
Also, are you able to know what your Eevee will evolve into?

And apparently if you name the one you evolve after the owner in the show you get that one haha
