How do you tell who's in a premade? o.O

I just had my first rookies game, and I guess I got a bunch of flack for not seeing a premade and vetoing one of them. How do you tell who's in a premade if there is one? I don't really go to this site often so I don't know who's friends with who. x)

And do POV competitions even do anything? It seems every time I finished a competition, it had already been decided. Was I wasting my time doing them? xD

Help a complete noob out!

EDIT: Would seeing them side by side in a game also be a clue?

Pre-mades- I think you gotta look for people who pass HOH back and forth. And if there always talking

POV- The time you do POV is for the next day

Well, premades are SOMETIMES dumb enough to still be friends on thier profile, and some are side-by-side. Also, follow your gut sometimes :D

Day1- Jetsrock12 HOH
Day2- Tem HOH
Day3- Jetsrock12 HOH
Day4- Tem HOH

If it kinda looks like it and lets say we dont EVER nomiante eachother THEN Obviously we are in an alliance
