Is that good? I don't think so. I got negged a lot too. Not a good first rookies experience.

The more you play the more you'll improve.

My suggestion to you however is to build as many bond as you possibly can in the early Castings games, and then join Rookies with those friends because Rookies games are filled with premades (alliances made before the game that dominate).

So yeah. Come prepared. +
