I wish we would bring that type of energy to the real contest LOL.
I actually wonder what another Polish JESC victory means for Poland at Eurovision considering they're willing to host Junior again in 2020. I don't think TVP will want to win Eurovision at this rate because they're clearly more comfortable throwing all their resources at Junior Eurovision. But I'm glad Superhero won. It's a great pop song, and a good look for the contest likely making it more relevant IMO.
I’m honestly shocked at some of the results (Kazakhstan winning with the juries and Spain only third, Ireland, Ukraine and Malta doing really poorly, Poland’s margin of victory in the televote), but I’m definitely not mad at another Polish victory)
I think it's so interesting that Poland is thriving at JESC but doing subpar at ESC. If they had sent songs like Anyone I Want To Be or Superheroes to ESC they would do great there as well, so they clearly have the skills at producing a great song. Let's just hope they'll send a great one next year to the adult contest.
I'm also hoping Kazakhstan getting runner up will make the EBU consider allowing them to participate in ESC now because I'd love to have them there.
MyMilkshakes YES, WE WANT KAZAKHSTAN AT EUROVISION!! I feel like Kazakhstan would bring ethno pop realness to the adult contest which is why I want them in. I didn't like their JESC song but I'm happy FOR them. I suspected that they'd do well in the jury vote given his vocal performance. It was deserved in that regard.
As for Poland, they have a pretty strong pop music scene with a lot of good pop artists. Sarsa, Sylwia Grzeszczak, Natalia Nykiel, Natalia Szroeder, Lanberry to name a few. EVEN MARGARET. Poland are capable of producing contemporary pop music, so I hope that some of the bigger pop artists start showing interest in Eurovision.
