Despite there not being a single standout, I don't think this year's Eesti Laul is that bad. I like my entire top 7 well enough.
Storm is generic but I can't get it out of my head. The song has a stadium feel to it so I think it would work well at Eurovision. Victor's vocals leave a lot to be desired but I think visually his performance shows a lot of promise.
Kerli's song feels a little overlooked but I really like it for some reason. I can't explain why. I feel the same about Believe, and I would actually be pleasantly surprised if either song managed to pull off a win (though I doubt either will even reach the super-final). In the semis I think Kadiah gave the better performance, but I preferred Kerli's song.
Stefan almost has the full package. Good voice, check. Good looking, check. Good song? I like the song, but it falls flat at the chorus for me. It's very Rag n' Bone Man as is, but I wish it went further. The chorus stops too abruptly and I think it's kind of jarring.
Sandra's song is nice but I'm not into it as much as I would like. I was hoping for something more haunting like Randajad. Soovide puu just feels like Christmas music to me, and while I don't dislike it, I'm just disappointed by it.
If Inger somehow wins the selection, I have a #42 at Eurovision no questions asked. Inger seems like a lovely person, but her(?) song makes me want to vomit. Synne Valtri and The Swingers are both pretty vile, but Coming Home makes me physically angry.
My prediction for the super-final is Victor, Uku and Inger, though I wouldn't be surprised if Stefan sneaks in. My fear is an Inger win but realistically I think Uku has it in the bag.
