Now I know why they want another all star season for S34 even though its soon after Second Chances, Remember when S23 South Pacific was originally meant to be Fans vs Favourites 2, but they decided to wait till S36 a decision they regret due to the show entering a dark period from S21 - S24.
the show during this period was strongly criticised,
- quality of the show dropped big time
- 3/4 of each cast during this period were bland apart from very few stand-outs.
- ratings sunk to new lows
- crappy twists like redemption island, medallion of power, one world were despised.
- Seasons were universally panned, S22-23 are still considered among worst seasons of all time.
I'm guessing producers don't want a repeat hence why having another all starts to fill the gap between the next FvF (S36) & BvW Returnees 2 if there following a similar schedule. Over Second Chances proving there is still a lot of demand for returnees, I don't think its a bad thing producers can spend more time looking for great characters like they have been the last couple of seasons and we can avoid this period ever happening again.
